Louisville radio had a report on the bedbug infestation of the main library today and mentioned that they were epidemic along the eastern seacoast.....
Which reminded me of the tented White House......Pictured the Ibamas with bed bugs.....Moochelle running to Spain, daughter being sent to camp, and “I” going to Chicago....all spreading the little critters with them.....
Bedbugs have no respect!

Wouldn’t surprise me one bit about them infesting the white hut with bed bugs. Also heard that there’s a bed bug infestation in some theaters in NYC. YUCK!!!

They discussed that...and were talking about some movies that they didn’t want to see in a bug infested theatre.....It was quite funny, but I don’t remember any of the movies....Some of the titles were bogus!

I am a huge DDT fan. And very angry at the millions of deaths due to the ban in 3rd world countries.
Bring back DDT!
It works and human lives are at stake.

Heard a couple local reports on this (Detroit market) also and sounded like an epidemic.
Why is this suddenly a problem (has always been a problem) that it goes viral?
A bedbug bailout is-a-coming.

They’re being disingenuous in the article. There is pesticide that will work, it’s called propoxur and the state of Ohio tried to get permission to use it.
Naturally, EPA denied the request.

I’m a huge fan of DDT as well, but unfortunately it doesn’t work on these little nasties. They developed resistance a long time ago.

WHY? My bet is the White Hut is infested....Look at how often they have been leaving it...and then there is the picture of it tented.
It would make a great movie....The Giant Bed Bug that attacked the WH!

Head lice are back too.
At her Berkeley, California headlice-removal salon Catchers Nitz, registered nurse Sylvia Cummings-Umegboh seats clients in brightly illuminated barbershop chairs, sections their hair beautician-style, affixes a magnifying-glass headgear over her eyes, then painstakingly snares ant-sized lice and their gluey poppyseed-sized eggs, known as nits, with a long-toothed stainless-steel Nit-Free Terminator Comb, flicking them into Barbicide-treated trays from which they cant escape.

And now a feces bacterial contamination at Martha’s Vineyard. LOL!

DDT has been banned for 40 years or so strange that liberals banning it is cause now...

Reminded me of a local family...who were quite obnoxious with their wealth (most of the local unpretentious farmers could have bought and sold them any day of the week)
Sent their daughter away to a very prestigious camp...She came home with lice: infected her family, her class and it eventually spread to the entire school. Mama was in denial and refused to do what the school nurse suggested to the home, so child was constantly being sent home from re-infestation.
We all knew about it because mama was also the town gossip and tried to blame everything on the school/nurse....School board had been warned and were prepared when she showed up at board meeting ....the poor child!

Recently spent a night at a high end hotel near the airport in Montreal. With all the bed bug stuff going on I pulled back the sheets on the bed to check out the linen. No bed bugs in evidence but linen appeared slept in. Called the front desk and they said room service would be by shortly. Left for dinner and came back a couple of hours later, the pillow cases had been replaced but the linens appeared much the same. Bottom line, I spent the night because I had an early AM departure ... and registered a complaint with the hotel, on the Internet, upon returning home. The hotel, Hampton Inn, gave me a complete credit for the night with thanks for my input. I've always had a positive experience in my past dealings with Hampton Inn and this was no exception. They did the right thing ...
