A Muslim woman who works as a hostess at a restaurant in Disneyland has filed a discrimination complaint against the world-renowned California theme park, saying officials at the park violated the law when they told her she could not appear in front of customers while wearing a religious head scarf.
Imane Boudlal, 26, of Anaheim, Calif., has filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, claiming Disneyland violated her rights when it ordered her either to remove her hijab or agree to work where customers couldn't see her at Storyteller's Café at the resort's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
Boudlal, a Moroccan immigrant who wore the traditional head scarf in observance of Ramadan, said she went home on Sunday after being told of her options, and she was given the same choice when she returned to work on Monday and Tuesday.
Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown said the park "continues to work" with Boudlal to find a compromise that allows her to wear the head scarf within company guidelines.

What’s left out in the excerpt is that Disney is making a custom tailored habab for her to wear, that fits in with the Disney theme and look, but she hasn’t received it yet. The point about Disney is that they consider the whole park to be a stage, and everyone who can be seen has to be in costume. Folks who can’t be seen do not have to be in costume but Disney does have an overall dress code. Years ago Disney required the Barbershop Quartet at the Town Square to shave their mustaches, due to the ‘no facial hair’ requirement.
That was before enough people knew he was one, and didn’t want to be associated with them. Now that he’s in, he could almost care less. All the press of “White house aghast over muslim claims” is only trying to foment an altercation, he doesn’t really care that we know now. He’s sinking like a rat on a ship, and his handlers know the race card quit working, so the religion card is in play, and that’ll sink fast. We’re onto him, and the Media can’t do anything about it.

Interestingly enough, I was having a conversation about Disney and the “Stage” thing last night. It’s exactly right, and as they are a private employer, they should stick to their guns, or soon they will be overrun. Once there is acceptance, it will transform into appeasement, and then finally abdication of any and all rights to these terrorists and wannabe overlords. The time to say “No more!” is come, and it’s more relevant everyday.

Agreed. I lived in a Middle Eastern country for two years. I was trained beforehand not to push the envelope and tick off the locals. For example, American women who go to that country are advised not to wear a bikini on a beach or even sunbathe on their rooftop. In fact, we dressed overly modestly so as to not offend the host country. I expect the same sensitivities extended to OUR country when they are here. If you cannot fit in with our culture, then GO BACK HOME.
Forgot to add that at the Dead Sea, the Arab men love to hang out there and leer at foreign female tourists. I would NEVER go there without being fully dressed, even though I LONGED to float in the water. So don’t ANYBODY fall for the line that Muslims are chaste and pure as the wind-driven snow. It’s all a ruse, and the poor women are totally oppressed and downtrodden.
I was at Disneyland last week and ran into a woman clad in the full burkha with a gang of little scarved ones in tow. The sight just made me uncomfortable. The hijab is just the first step. If they give an inch, the muzzies will take a mile.

I have been to Disneyland quite a few times over the years and have eaten in many of their restaurants. If this muzzie in her outfit came to seat me (since she is a hostess) I would turn around and leave.
