Women in this country are already empowered with killing their unborn child if they decide they don't like the results of pre-natal genetic tests. Or...if they merely feel like it.
We may have more clinically neat and sophisticated means of effecting the same ends, but there are large and vocal segments of this society that are no better, or any different, and the rest of society gives sanction to their activities by turning a blind eye.
Anyone who can equate the killing and beheading of an eleven-year old girl with abortion is as morally repugnant as any African witch doctor, only less forgivable.
So long as this superstitious ignorance prevails in this country it will continue to become more and more like Africa.
