Albert Haynesworth lashes out at Washington Redskins after preseason loss to Baltimore Ravens
The Washington Post ^ | Sunday, August 22, 2010 | Barry Svrluga

Washington Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth said after Saturday night's 23-3 preseason loss to Baltimore that he believes team officials are still holding his absence during the off-season conditioning program against him and that they underplayed the severity of maladies that prevented him from practicing last week.

He also complained openly about playing in the second half of a preseason game, contending that role is beneath a player of his stature.

Haynesworth appeared in the third quarter against Baltimore and played with the second team, sacking third-string Baltimore quarterback Troy Smith in his most explosive play of this preseason. But he was clearly annoyed that Coach Mike Shanahan attributed his three missed practices during the week to headaches.

"I got told I had 'headaches,' or whatever, and that's why I couldn't go out and practice," Haynesworth said, gesturing to indicate quotation marks around the word 'headaches'. "I think it was a little bit more than that. I guess they didn't want to disclose it."

Haynesworth signed a seven-year, $100 million contract with the Washington Redskins on the first day of free agency, February 27, 2009.[17] The deal is expected to pay Haynesworth $32 million in the first 13 months,[1] includes $41 million guaranteed and could reach $115 million if all incentives are met.

Quit whining and meet your incentives! Oh, and understand something: there's no possible way that the Redskins could even begin to meet your outrageous salary based on ticket and apparel sales. The money for this comes through "capitalist taxation" where big money TV deals are funded by advertising dollars which in turn are funded by a hidden tax built in to almost everything and anything you buy.

Doesn’t seem to have any problem making it to the bank, though.

Cut him, he is poison.

Agreed. No matter how much it costs the Redskins, he is cancer, obviously. Better to cut losses while there's still time.

Fire this clown, by whatever means are available, and at whatever expense is needed to do so. There are many people who could easily take his place and would be cheerfully happy to do so.

Well, he certainly has a high opinion of himself, doesn't he?

AH was a dog in high school, dog at TN, and was overrated in the NFL. He is where he belongs with the stupidest ownership in the league.
