Judge Forces Obama Admin to Stop Funding Embryonic Stem Cell Research
Washington, DC -- A federal judge on Monday issued a decision forcing the Obama administration to stop funding embryonic stem cell research with taxpayer funds. The judge ruled the executive order Obama issued allowing such funding contravened a federal law prohibiting taxpayer funding of the destruction of human embryos.

lol.....Judge Lamberth. He’s one of the few decent judges around.
Will someone help me? What is ‘truly’ the [Dickey-Wicker] statute?
Who really thinks the imam is goign to stop just because some judge tells him to? He don’t know who he’s dealing with.
Like he’s going to listen to a mere federal judge. We are talking about The One y’know.
I get the jest of it, but how is it defined so that the Obama admin can not tinker with it? Make sense?
iirc the act teh judge cited was signed by The 0ne right after he issued his EO.
“Like hes going to listen to a mere federal judge. We are talking about The One yknow.”
Yeah, he ain’t gonna let no honky tell HIM what to do!/sarcasm
God bless the judge!
Great news...especially in the light that only adult stem cells have produced any good for treating diseases, well over 100 cases....embryonic stem cells has not one single case, according to the article...thank God!
Can’t bypass laws with EO’s. I hope we see more of this...too much garbage coming out of the WH.
Blessed be God forever.
Our Rosaries are being answered.
The judge ruled the executive order Obama issued allowing such funding contravened a federal law prohibiting taxpayer funding of the destruction of human embryos.
Thank God for this judge!
Yeah, sadly that’s true.
Great...and Thank you God!
Ping to good news!

The law didn’t stop Obama from breaking it. Why would a judge’s order? Obama will continue to steer taxpayer money into destroying embryos regardless of what any judge says. His contempt for the rule of law is unparalleled.
It is great news, but I have no doubt that Zero will ignore the ruling.
The irony is that there has NEVER been a ban on privately-funded research on embryonic stem cells. The FACT is that private corporations aren’t putting a penny into ESC research because they know that it is a waste of money. On the other hand, they ARE pouring billions into adult (including umbilical cord) stem cell research and are reaping the rewards. Adult stem cells have successfully been employed in treating over six dozen conditions.
Really, its more than just a waste of money; its an invitation to lawsuits.
Praise the Lord!
The VA AG smacked abortion clinics in VA today too. naral is howling like banshees already and the governor hasn’t even signed off on it yet, but he will because it is written within the strict guidelines of the federal ruling on abortion. It is a good day to celebrate life.
Keep praying. We are finally winning some battles.
“Keep praying. We are finally winning some battles.”
One for the good guys.
I hope that Judge Lamberth survives.
So an EO banning federal funds being used for abortion would be illegal also.
Wasn't Royce Lamberth one of Clinton's greatest stumbling blocks? I can't remember the details, but this judge was huge in stopping Clinton's agenda.
Bull crap. Hussein will ignore it.
A judge told Hussein the drilling ban was illegal. Hussein didn’t give a s**t, just issued a new one.
Now, if the judge would just declare Ozero’s first Executive Order null and void, we can get to his records....
Not to mention the fact that embryonic stem cell research has produced nothing of value. Adult stem cell research holds promise, although you will notice news stories usually just refer to “stem cell research” when reporting positive results, hoping to confuse the sheeple.
Embryonic stem cell research is not science. It’s a means to promote abortion and make it acceptable to the public by promising to cure them of their ills.
Judge Lamberth. Hes one of the few decent judges around.
He sure is ... appointed by dear Pres. Reagan.
“The language of the statute reflects the unambiguous intent of Congress to enact a broad prohibition of funding research in which a human embryo is destroyed, Lamberth wrote in the decision.
This prohibition encompasses all research in which an embryo is destroyed, not just the piece of research in which the embryo is destroyed.
The ruling also broadly concludes that the research, also known as ESC, depends on the destruction of a human embryo, and that research derived from embryonic stem cells is also subject to regulation under the Wicker Amendment.
[Embryonic stem cell] research is clearly research in which an embryo is destroyed, the ruling said. Thus, ESC research necessarily depends upon the destruction of a human embryo. Despite defendants attempts to separate the derivation of ESCs from research on the ESCs, the two cannot be separated.
Has ruled on several weighty issues.
God bless him for his ruling for the protection
of human embryos. And thank you, Pres. Bush.
obama will come out and say good, i promised tax dollars wouldn’t go to abortion anyway
obama made a deal with a democrat not to fund abortion with tax dollars for the health care reform vote. It was an executive order
HOLY CRAP. A JUDGE WHO RULES ON THE LAW, AND NOT ON PERSONAL PREFERENCE.Bio from a speakers' agency: he is a Reagan-appointed judge...
If only this judge could get his birth certificare...oh what a country we would have.
Moonbats on the Boston Herald web-site are bashing the judge as a Right Wing Christian and no better than the Taliban.
