John McCain's $21 million campaign (against conservatives, Tea Party)
The Washington Post ^ | 2010-08-23 | Chris Cillizza

Sen. John McCain has raised and spent better than $21 million in advance of tomorrow's primary fight against former Rep. J.D. Hayworth, a massive amount of money that has helped to ensure that the Arizona Republican will win easily.

McCain's eye-popping spending -- putting aside self-funders he has spent the most money of any Senate candidate this cycle --is the most obvious evidence of the threat that the 2008 Republican presidential nominee perceived in Hayworth -- a six term Congressman who lost a re-election bid in 2006.

McCain spent millions (and millions) on television ads aimed at blocking Hayworth from becoming a national symbol of the conservative cleansing that many within the party believed to be necessary.

“Perhaps...although those two Supreme Court seats that Obama got to pick were pretty significant bad things that can’t be corrected. I doubt McCain would have appointed Scalia types, but even if they were in the O’Connor or Kennedy molds that would have significantly shifted the Court to the right given the justices that were replaced.”

Not hardly. Bush One and Ford gave us Souter and Stevens, absolute leftist plagues. Old Juan never misses a chance to kick our tails and he'd have given us two winners.

It is not over folks. The liberal media has gone insane today with endless stories to prop up McCain. This has been going on for weeks.

McCain is Hillary's straw man. If she's going to run, she needs him to do again what he did in 2008 - undermine Palin and throw the election.

But to do that, he has to win re-election first. So the Lefty MSM is supporting him now.

undermine Palin and throw the election.

If McCain wins and then proceeds to attack Palin, Palin will have no one to blame but herself for her undermining, as she was far too busy last March sowing the seeds of her own destruction by supporting the damnable RINO!

FUJM!

Simple reason - he hates conservatives more than he hates leftists.

MeCain doesn't hate leftists, but he definitely hates conservatives.

So John McRat, Mr. Campaign Finance Reform himself, spent $21 million to buy another Senate term, all the while lying about his positions on the issues.

This guy is so phony it's staggering.

If he wins, it says a lot about the gullibility of the electorate and again calls into question the wisdom of universal suffrage.

Prayers up for JD.

But we should prepare ourselves, and refuse to be discouraged if we are defeated. At least he's out all this money, and the humiliation of knowing that he does not have the respect or trust of his own state.

The fact is--Gigolo Juan (probably spending a lot of his homewrecking bride's fortune) has had to bust his fossilized behind off and spend a fortune--a fortune left over from the 2008 match that he threw-- to fight against his own party! He's got the Establishment on his side, but not the voters! All we have to do is turn out...

We know that as soon as he regains the nom, he'll turn around and poke a stick in our collective eye.

It'll be bitter, but we've already won some ground. He knows we despise him, don't trust him, and want him replaced.

"Imagine if McCain had fought even a 10th as hard to become president..."

It makes you wonder if he actually voted for himself.

Yes, we know that, but the people of AZ aren’t smart enough to understand.

That’s why I don’t think too much of AZ’s illegal alien problem — the people of AZ haven’t a clue about what to do about much of anything.

If McLame wins the primary, I hope to god Conservatives withhold their votes for that traitorous piece of cr@p. Regardless of who wins this seat, we`re not going to get enough Conservatives in the Senate to have a majority, and this rectum gives the rats cover. But we should still pick up enough seats to stall the rats till 2012. By then Conservatives will be much more organized and in a far better position to win big. I`d vote third party or withhold my vote in that seat. We need to stand our ground, either we ARE Conservatives, which means we stand for something, or like rats, we`ll fall for anything, including this leftist in a 20 million dollar disguise.
