What Liberals Should Have Known
American Thinker ^ | Aug 24, 2010 | Christopher Chantrill

Is Rep. "Too Sanguine" Frank now telling us that he didn't know that government-sponsored enterprises spewing out government-subsidized credit were a real risk for a credit meltdown?

Either way, the chap who is parading himself before the world as chairman of the committee with responsibility for the financial markets should have known. It's not as if we haven't seen this sort of thing before, starting with the South Sea Company and the South Sea Bubble of 1720. Guess what: the South Sea Company was a government-sponsored enterprise, too.

Here's another fine mess that liberals should have known about: ObamaCare. Back in January, President Obama was confidently telling Democrats that their tough votes for ObamaCare would pay off in the fall. Bill Clinton even had the effrontery to suggest that Democrats lost the 1994 midterms because they failed to pass HillaryCare. Come on, Mr. President. I was there in 1994. I remember exactly where I was driving in August 1994 when I heard an NPR reporter marvel that the majority of Americans were against HillaryCare because they thought it would raise their health care costs. I'd been waiting for that moment all year.

Kudlow more or less letting Baaknee Fwank off the hook doesn't make any sense and this article spells out a lot of reasons why Fwank needs to be held accountable rather than having his pig headed past shrugged off and forgotten. Had Barney listened to the Bush administration in 2004 and 2005 Fannie and Freedie would have been reigned in with at least stricter credit requirements. That wouldn't have totally solved the problems that led to the housing finance collapse, but it would have made a lot of difference and may stopped the growth of the bubble in it's tracks making for a much more managable situation than it was after another two years of pumping up.

Barney hasn’t had a “come to Jesus” moment.

He’s very afraid for his political life. and has been sticking his finger to the wind.

Excellent post, and commentary, on your part.

It is starting to look as though, last winter, liberals chose oblivion.

Unless they have a fallback plan. Liberals guard power jealously. The risks they take are very calculated. I've learned not to underestimate them.

Why isn’t the Republican Party running viable candidates against these people all across the Northeast?

At least New Hampshire used to be solid Republican territory.

I think we have a real chance this year to throw any Democrat out of office. Who is running against this horrible fake human being called Barney Frank? Who is running against all the 70 Socialists that are now in the house of Congress? why isn’t America, all of America, all the citizens in America, outraged to see near communists running the American government?

“Progressives” is just another word for the Communist Party USA which supplied all the underground moles to the Soviet Union from 1930 until today. Don’t believe me? Read all of the code decryption is better than placed in books and online in the last 10 years, read any history book on Soviet subversion for the last 50 years, read how they usually start or at least often start in Russian class at a university — hint hint, hint hint. I think one of the best books on the matter is called the haunted Wood.

Does anyone realize that we have a lisping homosexual who has in the past committed many illegal acts, but is always let off by his fellow homosexuals and fellow Democrats in Congress?

I think what Barney Frank did to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is illegal. Yet he continues to party with his boy toys in Massachusetts, he is not a scared of congressional hearings, he is not scared of going to jail, and for very good reason — there is absolutely no chance that the current Congress will put him in jail or even hold a hearing about the matter.

Which makes it obvious that Baaknee has an awful lot of dirt on an awful lot of people both in and out of Congress. I dare say that Baaknee could "out" a dozen Congress critters without even referring to his notes. Beyond Congress, you have to think that Baaknee who once "unknowingly" had a gay whorehouse operating out of his basement has very good records of who "partied" with whom and what all they were up to when they "partied".

No, Baaknee isn't afraid of anyone who arrives at the national level through the existing system, Baaknee is afraid of strangers he hasn't had time to get the goods on making it to the national level and not being willing to trade favors or otherwise play the game.

Regards

Well, the MA state party (for one) will not back a conservative; they're stuck in the classic northeast country club Republican mold. They insist on social liberals, and as far as I can see, those who claim to be social liberals and fiscal conservatives may be a shade better than actual Dems -- but not nearly enough.

BTW, Scott Brown (not a real conservative by any means, but better than Martha Coakley) carried Barney's district with about 54%, enough to make him sit up and take notice.

ObamaCare is going to make Hitler’s invasion of Russia seem like a rational decision in comparison.

Note 1: Please let’s not hijack this thread into a comparsion of Hitler to Obama and Democrats to Nazis, thank you.

Note 2: I am not calling Obama Hitler or a Nazi. I am just saying that Hitler made better decisions than Obama. It’s merely an invidious comparison.

The so called Republican party in the NE does not like conservatives, so they do not finance or get behind great candidates. Just look at NY. Lazio. The tea party folks (real Americans) have to do this from the ground up. And they are in a lot of places
