Over the last weekend trouble again erupted at the fair grounds where a group of 30-40 people, mostly black, were roaming the grounds and saying it was "beat whitey night".

Cowards always rely on overwhelming numbers to bolster their courage. Sounds like the whites need to make sure they have Mr. Colt’s equalizer with them when they think they will encounter large groups of blacks. You know, just to keep things civil and friendly.

This is something that gets under my skin. The Bible is rife with passages, both OT and NT, telling Christians about the right, need to prepare to, and the duty to not only protect themselves, but more importantly others who can not protect themselves. So, acting in self defense, or in defense of others does not make one "less Christian". In fact, I'd venture that if more people truly acted in a Christian manner, the type of mindless violence written about in the article would mostly come to a screeching halt.

I am always amazed they don’t run into somebody that is CC.
I am armed, my wife is, both son and daughter are. Lots of my friends do. It’s a matter of time, once they do pick on the wrong one, there will be a lot less of this kind of attacks going on.
