Obviously Rubio has this in the bag, with no real challengers, but we might as well have results threads for the important races.

Shhh. Freeper Davidosborne might hear you and begin around long-winded post about what a great candidate "Dr. Bill Escoffery III" is and how "RINO Rubio" is quaking in his boots over the guy's candidacy.

If he didn’t start all that Rubio RINO crap, I may have at least had a little respect for the guy for doing something, but BS douchbaggery is a major turn off.

Absentee ballots, early returns from eastern counties? My source is Politico.

State rep. Sandy Adams leading the House 24 (Kosmas) primary over Karen Diebel and Craig Miller, but maybe her district is reporting first.

this is the one I'll be watching -

If West gets in and gets to Washington - we will have the best rep in DC we've seen in many decades - he will make waves - he's NOT an establishment republican and he bows down to NO PRESSURE.

He knows the Constitution by heart - he knows EXACTLY who our enemy is (watch the clip "answers a Marine" - he does not suffer fools gladly - and he'd “walk through hell with a gasoline can” to protect this country.

Lt Col Allen West - WE NEED HIM! Let's make sure he gets in in NOV. WE may not be able to vote for him - but we can support him.

>> If he didn’t start all that Rubio RINO crap, I may have at least had a little respect for the guy for doing something, but BS douchbaggery is a major turn off. <<

Yeah I know what you mean. I had a similar reaction to some of Todd Tiahrt's more 'passionate' supporters in the Kansas U.S. Senate race, and I say that as someone who supported Tiahrt myself! He's been an excellent congressman, but the tactics of some his loudest supporters in attacking Jerry Moran as "McCain style RINO scum" was beyond the pale and a real turnoff. Some of it embarrassed me to be in Tiahrt's camp! There was no need to use scrotched earth tactics against a Congressman with a 90% conservative record (who has gone to bat for us numerous times when McCain wouldn't) to distort his views and constantly insult the man.

We had a disasterous outcome when similar tactics were used in a congressional primary between Jim Oberweis vs. Chris Lauzen in 2008. Oberweis' camp resorted to really over-the-top mugslinging and tarred a solidly conservative state Senator as a George Ryan crony when the opposite was true. Oberweis' constant shreading of a fellow conservative won him the nomination, but at a terrible price that drove up his negatives massively and handed the seat to the RATs in the fall after the GOP has discimated each other.

As for Marco Rubio, I must admit I'm a little cautious about him and wary about his record on immigration. It doesn't help that some of his most ardent fans here who proclaimed his a "true conservative" from the moment he announced were saying the exact same things about Mel Martinez six years ago.

But this "Dr. Bill Escoffery III" that's been touted as an alternative choice is a non-starter. The guy's been a citizen of four different countries, married three times... wayyyyyy too much baggage and certainly no credibility as an unknown statewide candidate. And yes, I'm getting tired of his "supporters" insisting that Marco Rubio is a Mark Kirk style socialist scumbag.

After Dr. Escoffery gets his 2%, I wonder if his fan club will give it a rest and halt the "RINO Rubio" stuff until it's been proven. Maybe they should read up on "RINO" Chris Christie's record since taking office, to see why it's wrong to smear candidates without evidence.

If those early returns are early and absentee voters it doesn’t matter much in the Governor’s race. A couple of weeks ago Scott WAS ahead.

It should be obvious from my FReepname that I'm an outside observer -- but in the GOP gubernatorial primary, it seems to me that McCollum had the late momentum.

So the question is: with Scott leading in early returns, have the early/absentee votes already been incorporated into the totals? Polls a few weeks ago showed Scott in the lead. If a disproportionate part of those early votes have been tallied, then McCollum still has hope.
