Bumper Sticker Politics From GOP's Boehner (Barf Alert)
IBD Editorials ^ | August 24, 2010 | Leftwing Lunatic RUTH MARCUS

Posted on 08/24/2010 6:01:51 PM PDT by Kaslin

There are times when I flirt with the notion that the country would be better off with divided government.

If Republicans took control, say, of the House, there would be pressure on both parties to behave more responsibly. The GOP would be pushed to stop carping and posturing, and start governing. Democrats would have political cover to make hard choices on entitlement spending, taxes and the like. As every politician knows, bipartisan cliff-jumping is a safer sport than going solo.

That's the theory. Then there's John Boehner.

The man who would be speaker outlined his agenda Tuesday in a speech to the City Club of Cleveland — economic policy reduced to, literally, five easy tweets. The Ohio Republican offered up a depressing blend of tired ideas, tired-er one-liners ("We've tried 19 months of government-as-community organizer") and cheap attacks. The cheapest: calling for the firing of Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and economic adviser Larry Summers.

Boehner said recently that House Republicans would spend August listening to voters before announcing an agenda. Judging from Boehner's speech, they mostly listened to pollsters, whose big idea apparently was to say "job-killing" as often as possible.

Twelve times, actually. As in "job-killing tax hikes," "job-killing bills," "job-killing agenda," "job-killing federal regulations." This is bumper-sticker politics, not a real economic plan.

I've been skeptical that Democrats would get much political traction with their argument that the Republican agenda is just George W. Bush recycled, but speeches like Boehner's make me rethink

So the answer, after we scrape away all the usual posturing and useless rhetoric away is NO.

No, the Freeper Dembots propaganda agents are too firmly welded to their emotion based slogans about the GOP to ever actually think about any facts that challenge their little bubble world political dogmas.

You people are the best propaganda bots the Democrat Party has working for it. So busy shooting at your own side, you never have any time or resources left to ever fight the Progressive Fascists on anything

A few weeks ago MNJ actually cited No Child Left Behind and Medicare Prescription Drug entitlements
as POSITIVE Republican ACCOMPLISHMENTS.

If only Republicans could have passed Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act,
then they would have been deemed REALLY successful!

Well, those objectives are certainly worthy! Those two have not been cheap at all, costing trillions to the US taxpayer.

MNJ, your post is a reply to post #1 by Kaslin, in which I can't find a question.

BTW your TO: list doesn't include the single poster, Kaslin.

Are you losing it?

So, stripping away all the Demobot slogans and emotional ranting, the answer is still NO.

No, the Dembot Freepers are too emotionally welded to their "Hate the GOP" dogmas to ever bother to learn even the most basic facts that challenge their bubble world political dogmas.

Perhaps you can flesh out exactly what it is that set you off on this tangent, and we’ll try to discuss it with you.

Did you notice MNJ posts exactly the same text over and over? Repeated Text saying we are repeating slogans?

Did I say this slogan before the last time HE posted the above text? LOL

Right now it seems like he’s referring to us as Dembots for not backing McCain. If that’s true, then he’s the Dembot.

RE :”Right now it seems like he’s referring to us as Dembots for not backing McCain. If that’s true, then he’s the Demb

This is the RINO statist that cites Ted Kennedy 'No Child' and 'Medicare Prescription drug' entitlement as POSITIVE accomplisments.

He routinely goes from thread to thread attacking conservatives for opposing elected statist RINOs.

Johnnie stick to your very useful posts like 9 and 11, and lay off the rest of us if you want to affect positive change. Even a dedicated RINO like you can be a source for good, if you stick to what you are good at.

MNJ didn't write:#11

screaminsunshine did defending himself against MNJ’s RINO attacks.

This is not longer about the DNC or the GOP! That is something that seems to be beyond you. We are for America and Freedom - less government and less taxes. That unfortunately leaves out both parties.

It is not time to vote for and support “others” regardless of party...but to take over one of the parties. At this point, that would seem to be the Republicans. We will take over this party over and eventually gain control for the country.

You on the other hand may just sit back, yell at those that disagree with you and continue your support for the RNC. You are destined to become very lonely...
