MSNBC SWEARS TO ALLAH THAT OBAMA'S NOT A MUSLIM
August 25, 2010
MSNBC's Monday programming was dedicated to denouncing Sen. Mitch McConnell's response to a question about whether Obama is a Muslim.
McConnell said: "We all have to rely on the word of (Barack Obama) -- something about as reliable as a credit default swap."
No, I'm sorry, that's what The Atlantic's Andrew Sullivan said about whether Trig Palin was really Sarah Palin's child.
McConnell responded by demanding that Obama be fired -- or at least have his security clearance suspended.
No, no -- wrong again: That was Sen. John Kerry and Sen. Chuck Schumer, respectively, not taking Karl Rove at his word when he said he had not released Valerie Plame's name to the press. (It turned out Rove was telling the truth; it was Richard Armitage, and it wasn't a crime.)
What McConnell actually said in response to the Muslim question was: "The president says he's a Christian. I take him at his word. I don't think that's in dispute."
Over at MSNBC, that's Republican code for: "He's a Muslim!"
North Korean TV's Ed Schultz hysterically babbled: "McConnell gave cover. That's what he did. He gave cover to all those low information voters out there who still believe this garbage about President Obama being a Muslim. ... The Republican leadership just loves to feed the fire."
Chris Matthews was so impressed with Schultz's nonsensical argument that he spent the entire hour on NKTV's "Hardball" making the same one: McConnell had expressed insufficient fervor when he said he believed Obama was a Christian! (Perhaps if McConnell had added something about a thrill running up his leg ...)
The statement "I take him at his word," Matthews said, was a "pitch-perfect dog whistle to the haters." He continued: "Yes, sure, whatever he says. Right. This is not about belief. It's an accusation that President Obama is not one of us. The right wing's attempt to de-Americanize the president."
What else is there besides Obama's word? If Obama suddenly announced that he was a Muslim -- or a Buddhist -- what evidence would Matthews cite to prove him wrong?
Meanwhile, liberals absolutely refuse to take Republicans at their word when they identify their own children. Or deny leaking a low-level CIA functionary's name to the press.
Or when they deny they are racists.

Accusations of racism apparently do not require the ironclad proof demanded for accusations that someone is a Muslim.Click on the link to AnnCoulter.Com to read the comparisons!
And there's a lot more evidence that Obama's a Muslim than Republicans are racists. Let's compare:

Mayor Bloomberg just declared “we are all muslims now”. Does that include Bammie?
Obama daddy was a muslim, therefore Obama a muslim. All one needs to do is ask any muslim, because they all know Obama one of them.
Evidence for the Proposition That Republicans Are Racist: (Nothing so far.)

Based on this column, maybe some FReepers will give her more slack for doing the homopac speech, for at least a day.
LOL. He smokes Kools?
Cool or is it Kewl?
Ms. Coulter is “welcome” to dine with me “anytime” — I would be honored ... and I’m single too ...
No.Has Coulter come out in favor of gay marriage?
From an email that Ann sent to The Daily Caller just after this story broke:
-- snip --...also, FYI; my fellow evangelicals and I know lots and lots of em all think its great that Im doing this.
(of course, they know Im not changing my mind on gay marriage even though I like gays.)
Oh don'tcha know it someone will say that is racist stereo typing! (that's typing with boff hands)
“de-americanize”...is Chrissy implying that Muslim Americans are not really Americans? It sure sounds like it.
Ann is the queen of the stealthy snark.
from Drudge:

Recently uncovered documents purported to be Barak Obama’s Baptism records have now been labeled “ a cheap forgery” by experts. Dr Polarik noted “these things are not worth the paper they are printed on.”
The practice of Baptism dates back to the time of Christ and is considered the basic initiation into the Christian religion.

Did Ann’s seed came from her mother or father?
That said, we don't need GOProud. Treat them like Reagan treated the Birchers.
Coulter completely roasts these morons.
As usual.
Coulter ping.
Ann Coulter’s deliciously barbed mockery of liberal idiots like Ed Schultz and Chrissy Matthews makes these guys bearable to have around, even if I never watch any of them. They serve as easy targets that Ann can skewer and by doing so, she pointedly demonstrates their foolishness, mendacity and hypocrisy as well as their general insanity. Thanks Ann!
It is my belief that Obama is a narcissist...so he is his own god.
She’s the best.
Coulter: Doesnt Everyone Have A Crush On Rush?Hmmmm, maybe that poofter Joey Farah may have a crush on Rush, seeing that he supports homosexuals now!
Just using his logic, didn't he say that Coulter is a screaming lesbian supporting....er, I mean that Coulter supports the homosexual agenda because she is speaking to a bunch of "those people?" Who little Joey is talking to also! He is sooooo GHEY!WND editor appears on gay-themed radio show to blast Ann Coulter for speaking to gay conservatives
For a guy who says he plans to fight the homosexual agenda until the last breath and thinks God will collapse America for accepting gay marriage, WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah sure has been doing a lot of gay media lately. Farah appeared on two radio shows that are hosted by gay talk show personalities this week to blast Ann Coulter for headlining an upcoming party sponsored by GOProud, an organization that represents gay conservatives.
Love the sinner, hate the sinGreat minds think alike!
I was actually going to use that concept to defend Ann in a post earlier today...
...until I Googled it, and found out that it is NOT in the Bible!Turns out that is was popularized by Mahatma Gandhi...
...and there is some doubt as to whether this idea is truly based on SCRIPTURAL teaching. :(
I think it's more likely that his religious views more closely match his mother's in being an atheist, or at least an agnostic. His religion is big government.
Where and when was he baptized? I ask this on every one of these threads.
And, to be fair, while going on gay radio certainly seems hypocritical, it is NOT really the same as Ann's allowing her image (and words) to be used to promote Homocon. As I posted on that other thread, I'm actually not crazy about her being the "poster girl" for Homocon -- but I understand that Ann knows how to cut through the media clutter like NO ONE can...
...so the message that she DOES deliver there next month will get almost universal coverage. As Mark Steyn said so much more eloquently than I ever could, you may not always agree with Ann's emotion-inducing TACTICS...
...but it's hard to argue with the RESULTS that she gets for our side.
Romans 5:8 - God demonstrated His love for us in that WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, Christ died for us (empahasis added).
Scriptural admonitions regarding love and hate include:
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.
Love them that hate you and pray for them that spitefully use you.
As I have loved you, so you should love one another.
Love your enemies.
So, even though the phrase "love the sinner, hate the sin" is not scriptural in origin, the PRINCIPLE of despising the sin, rejecting the sin, refusing to condone the sin, all while extending the Love of God to the sinner can hardly be called unscriptural.
I like what YOU posted here about that concept better than what I found online with Google. :o)FReepers rock!
My point is that he is considered a muslim because his father was a muslim, and enrolled him in school with religion marked “muslim.”
The strict koranic rules deem him a muslim for ever.
As another poster mentioned, he is a devout narcissist.
Correct Answer: He's An Atheist August 19, 2010, 3:34 PM Growing Number of Americans Say Obama is a Muslim

While valid in an acedemic sense, it doesn't mean much in a practical sense.
What people are really concerned about is does he follow the muslim faith now. Do his religious beliefs effect his current decisions.
The religious beliefs of his father may determine his religion as far as some followers of Islam are concerned, but it doesn't necessarily have much bearing on his own beliefs decades later.
Accurate, but misleading doesn't sit well with me.
Disgusting

Obama at Islamic Prayer Meeting Just Before Christmas
The president is telling any who will listen that America is not a Christian Nation.
He didnt attend the Christian Day of Prayer and has
only been to a Christian church one time since he was elected.
However, right before Christmas he had time for a Muslim Prayer Service.
In the above photo he is getting ready to pray to Allah...-- snip --

I know President Obama is not Muslim, but I am tempted nevertheless to think that he is, as are most Muslims I know.
In a very unscientific oral poll, ranging from family members to Muslim acquaintances, many of us feel, just as African-Americans did for the non-black but culturally leaning African-American President Bill Clinton, that we have our first American Muslim president in Barack Hussein Obama.
I know it's odd to say this. At first, I thought I was the only Muslim engaging in this folly, and I am reluctant to express it lest right-wing zealots try to use "Muslim" as a smear and cite my theory as proof of an Islamic traitor in the White House or some such nonsense.
But, since Election Day, I have been part of more and more conversations with Muslims in which it was either offhandedly agreed that Obama is Muslim or enthusiastically blurted out. In commenting on our new president, "I have to support my fellow Muslim brother," would slip out of my mouth before I had a chance to think twice.
"Well, I know he's not really Muslim," I would quickly add. But if the person I was talking to was Muslim, they would say, "yes he is."
They would cite his open nature and habit of reaching out to critics, reminiscent of the Prophet Muhammad's own approach, and also Obama's middle name, Hussein. Most of the Muslims I know (me included) can't seem to accept that Obama is not Muslim.
Of the few Muslims I polled who said that Obama is not Muslim, even they conceded that he had ties to Islam. These realists said that, although not an avowed and practicing Muslim, Obama's exposure to Islam at a young age (both through his father and his stint in Indonesia)

Mann Coulter will talk about his religion, but not about his birth certificate...I'll make you a deal!
I will do my best to get Ann to see the benefit of challenging not only Bambi's RELIGION, but also his CITIZENSHIP...
...if YOU can work THIS inconvenient fact into your conspiracy theory -- apparently that "Ann was once a man."From www.time.com/time/covers/1101050425/gallery:

The principle of Al-TakeyyaThe Arabic word, "Takeyya", means "to prevent," or guard against.
The principle of Al Takeyya conveys the understanding that Muslims are permitted to lie as a preventive measure against anticipated harm to one's self or fellow Muslims. This principle gives Muslims the liberty to lie under circumstances that they perceive as life threatening. They can even deny the faith, if they do not mean it in their hearts. Al-Takeyya is based on the following Quranic verse:
"Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution (prevention), that ye may Guard yourselves from them (prevent them from harming you.) But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah." Surah 3: 28According to this verse a Muslim can pretend to befriend infidels (in violation of the teachings of Islam) and display adherence with their unbelief to prevent them from harming him.Under the concept of Takeyya and short of killing another human being, if under the threat of force, it is legitimate for Muslims to act contrary to their faith. The following actions are acceptable:
- Drink wine, abandon prayers, and skip fasting during Ramadan.
- Renounce belief in Allah.
- Kneel in homage to a deity other than Allah.
- Utter insincere oaths.
LOL. I had no idea. “Looks”! Now *that* is Kool.
LOL. Thanks, andy58-in-nh!!
LOL. When I smoked, it was Kools!
I have no idea if he was baptized or not. My points stand rather he was or wasn't.
If Republicans played by liberal rules, they'd just call Obama a racist, who leaked Valerie Plame's name to the press, is not Sasha's father, and smokes Newports, not Kools.
Ann's latest column!
Let me know if you'd like to be added to the Ann Coulter ping list.
e-mail from Ann: (of course, they know Im not changing my mind on gay marriage even though I like gays.)As I posted on several of the "homocon" threads:
This is at the heart of the problem, that Ann truly LIKES many gay people -- and THEY really like her. Many social conservatives seem to fear that Ann's close association with gay people on such a PERSONAL level will eventually effect her on a POLITICAL level...
...and they are concerned that Ann will have a "Ted Olson"-like conversion to the Dark Side.TED OLSON, as you may recall, is the widower of Ann's very good friend BARBARA OLSON -- who died on 9/11 in the hijacked plane that hit the Pentagon.
But recently, the previously conservative Ted Olson led the legal battle to get California's Proposition 8 (which defined marriage as only being between "one man and one woman") overturned in the courts...ANN, however, has shown NO similar signs of "going wobbly" on us -- beyond the fact that she has many gay friends and admirers....and he seems to have been influenced to support gay marriage by his new lefty wife.
...Ann truly LIKES many gay people -- and THEY really like her..Here's a (somewhat garbled) account of what Ann said a few months ago -- at a "question and answer" session after her speech at UCLA:
...Ann Coulter likes gay people. She has lots of gay friends!Having heard Ann speak in this kind of forum in the past, I'm sure that HER actual words and delivery were MUCH BETTER than this left-leaning graduate student's paraphrasing would indicate....So many gays support her that if you went to West Hollywood and said you didn't like her, all the hair stylists would refuse to cut your hair.
But she doesn't want them to marry.
They don't want to marry, they told her themselves. They just support gay marriage because it's a nice symbol of public acceptance.
Isn't that the whole point of being gay anyway, that you don't have to marry?
She's not anti-gay, she's just pro-family.
She also opposes single mothers. Did you know that such and such criminal was raised by a single mother?
Who knows what weird stuff will happen to children raised by gay couples?
...but I think that her position on gay marriage comes through CRYSTAL CLEAR.
add me! Thanks
As Mark Steyn said so much more eloquently than I ever could, you may not always agree with Ann's emotion-inducing TACTICS... ...but it's hard to argue with the RESULTS that she gets for our side. You are absolutely right to quote Steyn on this.
I was a little angry at Ann for awhile at what I perceived to be her over-reaction to the whole WND thing... but I'm over that and wow, with this article posted here on this thread, wow, all I can say is she is so good. So, so good at what she does.
