I just heard an ad for this site on the radio, not much meat on the site. Does anyone know who is behind this effort?

The register is Todd Cefaratti from Gilbert AZ who owns the business Glengary Inc. You may be on to something. His name is coming up associated with several data collection companies like reverseleadclub.com. Glengary Inc is an internet marketing company.

This may be a legit group or it may be a front to collect names for data miners. (I lean towards the latter).

That’s why it is good to check out everything before you sign up.

Paranoia has kept me warm and vertical for a long time, this one doesn’t ring true to me.

Site is paid for by a political action committee called “Stop This Insanity Inc. PAC”. I’m thinking it’s a GOP operative trying to make a fast buck during “Recovery Summer”. I don’t begrudge capitalism, but that site is a bit extreme. It wants personal info, your money, and in return you get some t-shirt or pin to wear, turning you into a walking billboard for this site.

I’m leaning toward a GOP or Democrat front group interested in data mining. I come across a similar site a few months ago, and it was asking for personal info before you could actually see what the site was about. In return, you got a t-shirt with the site URL in hugh letters across the chest and your personal information comprimised. I didn’t fall for it, and this site looks similar.
