I just heard an ad for this site on the radio, not much meat on the site. Does anyone know who is behind this effort?
You “laugh” at me you say for starting a nonprofit organization that recruits 15,000 new people every week to the movement. We also have a member base over 300,000 that is growing every week by that 15,000. We also have hundreds of thousands of hits every day on our website. We are also on the Drudge Report front and center every week. Check the top space tomorrow Friday 3/4 and we will be there about every 10 clicks or so. While you are at it, check Newsmax every week. We are partners with them getting the word out in their headline news once every week. What is funny about that? Oops, didn’t do your research again did you before the blind smear? And your defense is referring to an organization run by someone other than yourself? Sounds like Mr. Robinson runs a great conservative organization and I commend him for it and helping the movement.
The question is not what Mr. Robinson has done but what have you personally done to recruit people to the tea party or conservative movement other than attack some that are actually got off the sofa and doing so? Give us a number, how many have you recruited this week? 1000? 500? 10? 1? We will await anxiously for your response.
Bump for later.
Those numbers are hard to believe. 15,000 per week? You're talking about hundreds of thousands if not millions of people. Or are you exaggerating a bit?
Multi-level marketing works that way. ;)
For a conservative “big wheel” this dude doesn’t know much about FR.
Perhaps he could ask Dan Rather about us.
Couldn't stay away, huh? (Okay, sorry I'm laughing again.)
I'm not talking about being on the Drudge Report as a result of a paid advertisement. You've "spent $181,000 of your "donations" on Google, Facebook and other websites for advertising and search engine optimization.". Of course one might expect to see your advertising banners around the internet.
I'm talking about having Matt Drudge link to your website as a source of news and information, right there alongside FoxNews, etc. - not as a result of paid advertising.
There's a world of difference, one of several orders of magnitude, between "helping the movement" and your "recruiting" efforts, imo. "Several donors to the site contacted by CBS 5 News said they were under the impression they were joining the official tea party when they donated to the website. The populist tea party movement is not an official national political party."
You've come into someone else's "house" here, made it quite clear that you had no idea where you had landed or who the target audience was. You've done little but insult, disparage and demean from your very first post. I congratulate you for a most auspicious and impressive introduction, the likes of which I've seldom (if ever) seen on freerepublic. I've come to my own conclusions about your motives, and I trust others will come to their own as well.
As for me, I'm done with you.
Have a great day.
LOL! That was perfect.
Myself and my operations manager were also involved in the Tea Party Express event in Searchlight Nevada.
Who is your operations mananger?
And what was the extent of your involvement?
What shibumi said——and make it cash for the advertising space.
I did call her immediately and she never heard of you.
After reading this story,
It looks like a sham, and shameful diversion from the tea party faithful’s efforts. These are the kinds of things that will destroy the tea party.
Swampsniper, you were on to something here!

All Tea Party groups are NOT created equal! BEWARE!
By now conservatives ought to know they will be used by a bunch of political hacks at any opportunity, just like the left deceives blacks, hispanics, women. I know some of us would like to actually know who and what we are supporting. Well, there is a ‘Tea Party’ group out there, who, in my opinion, is only in the game to fund raise and line their pockets and support some people who simply are NOT what the grass roots of the ‘Tea Party’ believe in.
Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing, people!
From what I can find out about the principal players in TheTeaparty.net and The Tea Party News Network and their political action committee Western Representation PAC, they are TOO closely aligned with Grover Norquist to ever be considered as part of ‘The Tea Party”. Amnesty, which Norquist has always favored, is a subject I cannot find addressed in any of their publications. But, one of their principals, a ‘community organizer’ by the name of Dustin Stockton penned this last year:
“Amidst all the red-meat speeches at CPAC, Grover Norquists address stood out for me. Dont get me wrong: I love to get fired up by a great speaker as much as anyone else , but the real opportunity at gatherings like CPAC is to share strategy and figure out how to win. Grovers speech had hardly any big applause lines, but for my money, it was one of the most informative speeches at the conference. If you want an overview of the entire American political system, and how conservatives can take it back, in less than half an hour, Grovers your guy. Do yourself and our movement a favor and take a look. Youre sure to learn a thing or two I know I did!”
We conservatives had better ‘learn a thing or two’ and do it fast! Recently we wrote how blogger Robert Spencer, who won the vote for best blogger at CPAC, was told by this same ‘tea party’ group he could accept the award IF he did not discuss Norquist or his radical Islam associates. It appears that CPAC is now just another subsidiary of Grover Norquist and he is the head guru of the hijacked ‘tea party’ group, teaparty.net and Tea Party News Network.
Now, if you don’t know who Grover Norquist is, and what he really stands for, you better find out or stay away from the voting booth, because he is no conservative. He wrote the Bush/McCain Amnesty. Yes, he talks the good game of no new taxes, less spending and he does it all for GROVER, and for the likes of Karl Rove. Where you find one, you usually find the other. Rove brought Grover into the Bush White House who brought in all his radical Islam associates along with Jack Abramoff. Do remember that Rove heads pacs to oust Tea Party candidates, but contributes 4 million dollars to Norquist!
“Karl Rove has founded a new group designed not to beat Democrats, but to destroy a wing of his own coalition: the Tea Party. The newly-formed Conservative Victory Project, an “offshoot” of Rove’s American Crossroads super PAC, is designed to pump big money into local congressional primaries and prevent Tea Party-endorsed candidates from scoring Senate nominations.”
They can’t have it both ways...be FOR the Tea Party, but against the candidates and policies the grass roots Tea Party stands for. Conservatives!!! You need to spend more time cleaning out your own ranks instead of trying to take down the democrats. You’re being destroyed from within!
[snip]TheTeaParty.net is a division of Stop This Insanity Inc. and is a national non-profit 501 (c)(4) organization created in 2009 for the education and advancement of the constitutional conservative values of the Tea Party movement.
More here, appropriately titled:
When a Rat Invades the Tea Party
One sure thing is that there are always snakes in the grass!
“30 percent admin is not out of line. Now, the marketing costs - once again, do any of your vendors have a fiduciary or direct relationship to principals in TheTeaParty.net? “
That was a great question, dirtboy, and I have to wonder if their marketing/advertising costs mostly go to TPNN...the tea party news network...their own outfit.
Open Secrets mentions that TeaParty.net administrative costs for 2012 were $27, 391. Not an outrageous amount, to be sure, unless you count the fact that they or The Tea Party News Network only have ‘virtual’ offices’ at $149.00 a month. Both entities (we don’t know how many more yet) use the same ‘office’....How convenient!

The second largest expenditure, $60,000 went to ‘media’...would that be TPNN...the tea party news network...ran by the same people in the same office? ...just askin’.....
By now you all should know that TPE, TPN, TPP, and ESPECIALLY theteaparty.net (TownHall.com) are all fakes who latched on to our name in 2009. The legit tea party was formed on Dec 16, 2007 and is still unfunded, has no representatives in DC, and is NOT a PAC created by GOP consultants and data miner.
When you join a tea party, make sure it is not affiliated with any of these fakes and that it is unfunded, volunteer-only, doesn’t work for political parties or campaigns or candidates but on issues such as Agenda 21 and the communism being fed to our kids in the public schools.
Thanks, keep reminding people, they are confused.
Conservatives/Tea Party..Clean out your own ranks first!!
