I knew they hadn’t given up on their goal of seizing all legal firearms from honest, law-abiding people and deliberately leaving them in the hands of criminals.

These regulatory agencies are, by and large, unconstitutional. Their employees are not elected officials, yet their regulations have the force of law. These agencies are part and parcel with the statist takeover of our government and they must be stopped.
We’ll see about this.

The very law that the petition cites SPECIFICALLY excludes ammunition from being considered a “toxic substance.” This will be laughed out of court, and everyone knows it.
What we have here is a trial balloon. Obama and his minions are attempting to see if/to what extent people will respond. I say to let them have it with both barrels - I’d like to see several million comments passed on to the fascists at the EPA.
BTW, does anyone know how many comments are typical for proposed regulations?

The first thing the GOP Congress should do in January is cut all appropriations for the EPA. Well, maybe the second, right after reducing the White House operating budget by the total compensation (salary and benefits) or all the “czars”.
Third on the agenda, cutting all funding for implementation of Obamacare.

The EPA is just a bunch of hypocritical communists using the resources of the government against We The People in order to advance their neo-communist goals and consolidate power for their fellow travelers.
I’ll tell you what: I’ll support a ban on lead ammo when the EPA demonstrates that they are really serious about protecting wildlife and bans all those highly toxic, mercury-filled energy saver light bulbs that they are forcing all of us to use!
Until then, the EPA cans shove it where the sun don’t shine!

What do you replace lead with? If you replace it with a ferrous metal, you run the risk of starting wildfires from the sparks the bullet makes when it strikes rock, etc.

Ammunition is explicitly excluded from the EPA’s ability to regulate via 15 USC Section 2602. Any ban will be struck down in court.
The EPA couldn’t be LESS interested in the FACTS of leads effect on the great outdoors. This is a purely political outfit, run by radical, anti 2nd amendment leftists. Does THAT give you a clue as to the final decision? And republicans should be SCREAMING this news to constituents RIGHT NOW as the EPA is filled with leftist democrats!!! Will they? Of course not. Wouldn’t be bipartisan, don’t you know!
