MSNBC talk show screamer Ed Schultz had a meltdown in the network's 30 Rock newsroom, shouting at staff, "I'm going to torch this [bleep]ing place."
The hot-tempered anchor of "The Ed Show" lost it during a phone call in the packed studio and slammed down the phone before exploding.
As astonished MSNBC staff members fell silent, Schultz glared around the room and yelled, "[Bleep]ers!"
A witness told us, "Ed was furious the network was running election-night promos and he wasn't in them. He'd been arguing on the phone with marketing, then he slammed down the phone and exploded. It was like Mel Gibson had entered the newsroom."

His staff acts like this is something new. Schultz has always been a loose cannon. The only reason he hasn’t been let go by MSNBC is that their ratings are so tanked that getting rid of him wouldn’t change anything.

I lived there in those days. We thought Ed was an affable buffoon. He's still a buffoon, but no longer affable.

I am going to watch election night coverage on MSNBC. I want to see how Rachel, Keith, Chris, Ed, etc. spin what will be a bad election night for Democrats. They never stop spinning, but would love to see how they spin it.
Could it be that some of these people just don’t have it all up there? Could it be that all of the political issues they report on are personal and thus emotional, which robs them of any rational thought process?

Wait’ll Comcast takes over for real, Ed. They’re ALLL about the bottom line and they’re in a real battle with DirecTV and Dish. They aren’t going to carry your candy-butts with yours no ratings shows on MSNBC when the Fox business plan is beating you all hands down. When your contracts are up, you’re toast. All of you. Olbermann’s already been tossed from the Sunday Night Football show, and I don’t believe for one minute it was to devote more time to a show that no one’s watching on Friday nights.

You are a better man than I if you can watch M(isery)SNBC during election 2010 coverage, I’d feel a of mixture of pity and horror sort of like watching patients in a mental institution’s day room. Matthews would be OBLVIOUS, Olbermann would have spittle on his chin, Maddow would just be smarmy and the rest of the cast of One Flew over the Cuckoos nest would look at Buchanan as if he were Nurse Kratchet...

I enjoyed watching MSNBC the night Scott Brown won. They were set up in some bar and a whole herd of lesbians showed up to see Maddow. It looked like a female rugby convention.
