The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Florida shows Marco Rubio attracting 40% of the vote, while Charlie Crist picks up 30% in the race to become the states next U.S. senator. The new Democratic nominee Kendrick Meek earns 21% support.

Crist needs to get his sorry liberal a$$ out of the race so it will be a landslide for Rubio. Crist probably just running to insure a Democrat victory.
I expect State Media headline: “Rubio with a narrow lead”. Alternatively, “dead heat in FL” or “Crist in strong position”
If no one reaches 50%, does Florida law require a runoff?
I love that Rubio will still be able to hand Crists ass to him. Making gutless decisions to further your political future should end in humiliation. Go Rubio.
I hope Rubio is what he says he is and isn't just saying what people want to hear to gain office. Color me cynical.....
Sadly, 30% is strong for such a miserable husk.
Rubio needs to stay on his message.. even if he sounds like a doll when his string gets pulled.. he definitely has his spiel down.. hopefully enough folks will be stable on their meds and respond accordingly.
Charlie , go fishing.. or sumthin’.
and Meeks.. Meeks ? lolol
he’s no Alvin Greene,, but that may be a good thing in this one.
No, only GA does that for general elections (although I think LA is brinigng it back for 2012).
What happened to all those polls showing Crist in the lead?
I love for what he stands for....I also love to look at him, he’s a beautiful man:-)
“I expect State Media headline: Rubio with a narrow lead. Alternatively, dead heat in FL or Crist in strong position”
And never rule out those boxes of “found ballots” sitting in the trunks of dem operatives.
Crist is angling for a post in the Obama administration. He will probably drop out and support Meek to get it. Maybe he could get a Czar job. Of what I do not know.
Was this before the news of Crist going to Martha’s Vineyard, Friday?
What happen to the nicely cooked up Quinnipec Push POLL that the trolls were pushing here last week that had Crist way ahead ?
I hope Rubio is what he says he is and isn’t just saying what people want to hear to gain office. Color me cynical.....

I think he is a marked improvement, but not a world beater.
Sort of like Scott Brown taking “Kennedy’s seat”.
A glass half full, which beats empty.
I think there was only one. It was trumpeted over and over by the Obamacrat Media.
Commissar of suntans and chickenhawks.
Something 'character appropriate' like "Honey Bucket Czar".
The oil leak was plugged.
The Dems have chosen their candidate.
Night night Charlie.
How bout Dead Skunks.
Rubio started with this core message before the Tea Party movement even began, so I think he is the real deal. The only thing I don’t know is how much he’ll ‘evolve’ join the beltway crowd once he is there. By all signs, I think he will be a solid ally of DeMint to build a conservative coalition. If there is a core group of DeMint followers in the Senate, it will provide a real platform for principled conservative governance out of the Senate....something I have not witnessed in my lifetime.
I was wondering that myself. Clearly Georgia does have run-off elections, but are they the only state that does that, or are there others besides LA?
Lib Media Headline:
Obama allies Crist/Meek Lead Tea Partier Rubio 51% to 40%
I'll vote for Rubio and if he doesn't live up to his mantra, then he's a one term Senator for me.
NICE!
YESSSSSSSSSSSS!
*fist pump in air*
Hold fast, Floridians...
don’t disappoint the rest of the nation!
And has an adorable family!
Lucky Florida - hope you don’t blow it!
Lucky wife!!!!
I believe that GA is the only state with run-offs in federal general elections (and only for Senate, not House, elections); LA will have run-offs for all elections starting in 2012.
Many Democrats in that 30% I would venture to say.
This is really reassuring news. Don’t know where that Quinnipiac poll came out with a big Crist lead about two or three weeks ago.
Rubio has some work to do.....the liberals are taking 51% total.
Rubio: "I'm a conservative running against two liberals. Meek and Crist will split the liberal vote, and I'll win."
Crist: "I'm confused."

This billboard is on US27 North in Dundee, FL.
Perhaps folks realized the book of Charlie Crist's accomplishments is as thick as the book of Rosie O'Donnell's Diet Tips or Ellen's little black book of boyfriends.
Crist is currently the Republican Governor but he’s running for the Senate as an Independent... against his own party?
Is that correct?
Commissar of suntans and chickenhawks. He can get a nice big thick purple velvet robe and a big gold stud in one of his ears.
He'll be so CUTE!
Rubio pulling way ahead now.
Yes, you got it. Crist dropped out of the Republican party months ago when he realized he would have a hard race against Rubio to get the Republican nomination. Complete betrayal of the voters that put him in office.
Where is Mrs. Crist?
On the left in post #39.
1. With the other ornaments that glitter and give a nice impression.
2. On the Crist Unicorn Ranch with other make believe rides.
3. Touring the world with all the money she has saved on birth control pills.
And it sounds like most of his voter base now are dems. Dems supporting Crist instead of Meeks.
So what happens in Nov if no-one gets 50%. Runoff, or top dog out of three gets it?
This Senate seat is within the grasp of the rats. A call from Rhambo to Meek to spend more time with family or accept a big time remunerative job as you say becomes more likely every day. They will not let this opportunity pass.
