OGUNQUIT, Maine – Former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura surprised participants in the third annual “Run for the Fallen” Sunday.
Dozens of runners took part in the event to remember the 65 servicemen and women from Maine who have died overseas since 2001.
When the run ended, people gathered at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth for a lobster bake. They were surprised with a visit from former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura. They wanted to thank the runners and organizers for this tribute to the fallen.
The Bushes spoke with the families of the servicemen and women who were on hand.
The Bushes even posed for pictures with each of the families.
I love the way he is spending his post-presidency.
They are such honorable people.

Did anyone notice this is the second time the Bushes’ have done something in relationship to the troops when the Canbana Boy in Chief is out engaging in pleasure, while young men and women hump it with a full pack with heat indexes of 130 degrees...

Due to the bad weather mac daddy and what’s her name relented and bite the bullet and forced themselves to eat with the common people.
Not known at the time mac daddy had had one of his 747’s fly to Paris for food that was more suited to his status - of course at the tax payers expense.

Sadly you are correct. What he does not understand - nor does the Left or the media - is that the “little people” make up the engine and heart of our country.

There is a reason for that. In their family it is planted since the kids were small that they couldn't run for any public office until they are 'independent' economically. This makes them not easily seduced by power and money that come with the office.
Not a problem, I have those days about five out of seven.
