LORAIN — A highly intoxicated Lorain woman assaulted police and paramedics after officers were called to her 2334 E. 37th St. home early Sunday morning, according to a Lorain police report.
Virginia Leonard, 31, became upset when her boyfriend took the bottle of brandy they had been drinking and she punched a neighbor in the chest, kicked a cooler full of beer and knocked a stroller off the porch, the report said. When officers were putting Leonard in a cruiser, she kicked the windows and screamed vulgarities and racial slurs. She then started screaming she had overdosed and pretended to pass out, according to the report.
After learning Children Services had been called to take charge of her 8-month-old daughter, she began screaming for her boyfriend, kicked at officers and tried to head butt one in the groin, the report stated.
She screamed she was being raped and that she was pregnant when paramedics attempted to treat her, the report stated. While on the way to Community Regional Medical Center, Leonard spat at a paramedic and head butted him, according to the report.

I’ve been drunk before, and you know what? Some of the things I did were wrong, and I knew they were wrong when I did them. I opted to do them anyway - and I was held accountable for them. Guess what? Next time I got drunk; I knew better than to do that again.
She knew right from wrong; she opted to act ‘wrong’

I should be ashamed, I admit I came to this thread looking for pictures ;-)
Boy you got that one right. My first thought when I got to the word stroller-—I realize social services often is not the best choice, but my goodness- what has that child been through already?

Yep. The only problem with that in my mind is the potential abuse of that power by those who would have that authority. In cases like this I see no problem.
