Maybe they will do a citizen’s arrest.

Authorities would not say how many troops would start Monday, but said waves of them will be deploying every Monday until all 532 are on the Arizona border, likely by the end of September. It's going to take a month to move 532 men and supplies? Wow, how useless is the POS that calls itself our President?

Perhaps they should be issued new iPads, so they can “Friend” all the new arrivals on the Obama Facebook page.

Let me get this straight. Obama is sending troops for decorative reasons until after the election.
The troops have no authority to do anything except rat out illegals to the border patrol who can’t do much of anything either.
Either the people in the White House are pretty stupid or they think we are pretty stupid.
Where has all logic and reason gone?

“They’ll be armed for self-defense.”
Translation: They’ll walk around wearing sandwich boards that read “Please Don’t Hurt Me.” In Spanish.

The troops will be "extra eyes and ears" for U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents, and though they will have guns for self-defense, they will not have the authority to arrest anyone, said Arizona National Guard spokesman Lt. Valentine Castillo.
He said if troops spot illegal immigrants, they must report them to the Border Patrol, whose agents would make the arrest. Exactly like the Minutemen who gathered down here 3 years ago...

National Guard troops to deploy to Arizona border on Monday; they'll be armed for self-defense.
An ACLU attorney will be assigned to each soldier to prevent immigrant travelers` rights fom being violated.
Each soldier is subject to prosecution and punishment if attempting to enforce any federal laws or infringing any immigrant travelers cross-border movements.
Guardsmen are allowed to plead the 5th Amendment in their own defense.
Immigrant travelers are allowed to invoke police brutality statutes if touched by any Guards.

“Former President George W. Bush sent 6,000 National Guard troops to the border in June 2006, and they also had no arrest power. Those troops were pulled out in July 2008.”
Not enough to make an impact? Summer break?
