Dips in Mexico Told To Leave Kids at Home (Dips = US Diplomats)

U.S. diplomats at the Consulate General in Monterrey, Mexico, will no longer be allowed to bring their children with them, the State Department said today, citing increased violence and kidnapping in the area.

“U.S. government personnel from the Consulate General in Monterrey have been advised that the immediate, practical and reliable way to reduce the security risks for children of U.S. Government personnel is to remove them from the city,” states a new Travel Warning issued today.

The new restrictions follow a shootout that broke out last Friday in front of the American Foundation School in Monterrey in an apparent attempt to kidnap the child of a local businessman.

“The level of violence in Monterrey is increasing and has spread to areas near a school which many U.S. citizen children attend. Local police and private patrols do not have the capacity to deter criminal elements from areas around schools,” the warning adds.

In a Warden message sent to Americans in Monterrey on Sunday following the shootout, the consulate general said that “at this point it appears that it was an attempted kidnapping targeting the relatives of a local business executive. While it does not appear that U.S. families were targeted, the sharp increase in kidnapping incidents in the Monterrey area, and this event in particular, present a very high risk to the families of U.S. citizens who might be become incidental victims. It is incumbent on all of us to take measures to reduce exposure to risk and enhance personal security.”

This is actually a pretty big deal. The US State Department doesn't do this lightly (classifying an existing post as a "partially unaccompanied post"), and as the story says, it's never been done before in Mexico.

The entire border needs to be sealed airtight using whatever armed force and equipment that is required. It should be setup and operated the way the Commies did with the Berlin wall which extended out into the country for many miles. Those spineless and gutless wretches in Washington are so busy serving themselves that they have no time to pay any attention to their oath of office!!!

Wow. As a former member of the Foreign Service, this is really shocking. Although perhaps not that surprising.

The number of unaccompanied posts in the FS is proliferating. It’s one thing to undergo that in Afghanistan (where I was posted last year); it’s another to encounter it in Mexico!

“Dips” is so very appropriate.

Actually, it’s good that we send these folks (to whom the operation of an incandescent light is beyond their meager lib “arts” education) out of the country. We raise the US IQ measurably by ditching these worthless Obamas (substitute synonym for those dark little tootsie rolls left by dogs on the ground).

“The entire border needs to be sealed airtight using whatever armed force and equipment that is required.”

The Department of Defense spends close to $200 billion per year for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan plus deploying troops around the world - Korea, Japan, Europe, Turkey, and other locations. Time to bring these troops home and defend our border.

Mexico is falling apart and the violence has spilled into the US. Millions of illegals have been and will continue to invade our country until we use our military to defend the homeland.

They just want to come here to work and improve their lives.

The contradictions of the ruling class are reaching the crack up point. Mexico is so dangerous that diplomats can't take their kids, but Mexico is so benign that we sue Arizona for trying to secure the border.

Are they insane, stupid or just evil?
