There are a lot of defeatists. What’s the deal? The electorate is awake, angry and fired up. So why are these “people” whining “It’s hopeless”?

this is a search engine hit article.

The goal is to create static which shows up during searches.

When someone searches GOP and homosexual marriage THIS will be the article that pops up.

It is like google playing games to try and distort directions to the lincoln memorial.

we have many “aged troll accounts” there was even another site that claimed they could list any join date in their account. (a long while ago)

Age of accounts is not dispositive on not being a troll. John McCain supports homosexual marriage and he has been an alleged R for decades.

And also to give legitimacy to these types of unions. They pave the way for plural marriages, incestuous marriages, and eventually the destruction of marriage. This according to my liberal sociology prof. many years ago.

Same-sex marriage gains GOP support

All the more reason for the GOP to cease to exist.

Three parties doesn't work. Let the RINO's go to the RATS and let the rest of the GOP have a real conservative party with enough muscle to actually win.

Call it Tea Party or whatever you want, but we can't have RATS, GOP, and something else. It has to be two parties with a real difference.

This is a WaPo spin article. There are conservative candidates running on the "R" ticket. This article and the one from the NYTimes is meant to discourage voters and elect the Dems again.

The problem with that is an angry, awake and fired up electorate. The only way Dems will win is if people split the vote or by staying home. These articles are meant to accomplish exactly that.

As I said, “It has to be two parties with a real difference.”

I don’t see that these days. My point goes beyond this article and this issue.

I do realize there are real conservatives in the GOP, but there are a lot of limp wristed and wishy-washy Lindsay Grahams, Olympia Snowes and John McCains. They tend to be the GOP leaders these days. I’m absolutely sick of it.

We have made a difference. The Tea Party has made a difference. Discouragement now will destroy us. And the left knows it. Hence the "divide and conquer" articles from the MSM.

First order of business is to get the conservatives that won primaries elected in to office. Then elect more. We need to take control. We CAN do that. We ARE doing it.

But the GOP must change or die. RINOs must leave for the party of their destiny, the RAT party.

If now awake voters stay engaged we can change the GOP. We need to fill power positions at local levels with conservatives and work through the ranks and up. And keep pushing conservative candidates. Donating only to candidates gives them the money they need and starves the beast.

Yup, that's where it's at right now. Starve the beast and the party will have to follow.

But right now it seems like the GOP thinks they can be MICE (little RATS).

Do they really think they will gain many liberal votes by pretending to be "kinder, gentler" conservatives? The left will take their cooperation when given and then still stab them in the back.

They had better wake up soon, 2010 is here with elections looming and 2012 is going to come fast. Hopefully the 2010 results will be transformative for the GOP and the RINOs will have to move out of the way.

Or, hopefully, be run over in the stampede. We won't get all the Rinos in Nov but I'm hoping enough of them get the boot. I'm also hoping that if that happens, people don't go back to sleep for 2012. The danger will not be over.

The WaPo and NYSlimes are trying to convince Republicans that “other” Republicans are for perversion.

Well aren't they? Look who all has been open about it. Coulter, Cheneys, former Bush adviser and RNC Chairman, Bush himself slighted a former Reagan adviser who work in a gay healing ministry. No you have it wrong. There are Rockefeller Liberal Republicans who are trying to convince us Republicans are for perversion and the FUEL for the WP article.

It’s a tactic, a lie, and the only chance they have to not lose bigtime in Nov.

No actually it's not a lie. The controlling sect of the GOP has been trying to bring gays into the GOP Big Tent for several election cycles now. Remember the Bush Snub of James Dobson for Log Cabin Republicans in 2000? You know when Barney Frank got a significant number of GOP Congressman to go along with his votes on bailouts I wondered why he had so much power over them.

We need to kick Repub elitists to the curb. There are WAY more of us than them.

OK I'm game. Here's how it must be done though. Stop voting for Republicans only for party unity sake when Conservatives loose primaries and start voting for worthy Independent Conservatives instead. Look around on this board and see how many are willing to do this. Most won't do it and that's the problem. They are enablers to this agenda in every sense of the word. They value a political win at any cost over moral principles.

My last Republican Elitist's vote went to Bob Dole and no I did not vote for Junior Bush either time and the reasons stated above was at the top of the list as to why. Your religious and moral principles either stand for something or they are cheap and for sale for political gain and of little value in this world or the next. When people learn and understand you can not separate you political values from your moral ones and vote accordingly this nation might turn around again.

The last moral change or awakening as a nation back toward GOD as a nation came in 1980. Because of it were blessed with the best president since the Civil War as great prosperity before the world. Quickly as a nation we fell away from that because the same was abandoned for short term political gains. Since that time we have been cursed with some of the worst presidents in our nations history both Dem and GOP to ever sit in the office of President of the United States. IT'S THE NATIONAL MORALITY that's the problem. It's not a party problem because like it or not in deeds the two political parties in power today share most of the same political and moral values.

Some in the Repub part are as you say - social liberals. But IMO the grassroots Repubs are not, they are conservative. And if more conservatives run for office as “R’s”, this will bring more conservative voters still.

The RINOs need to be kicked to the curb.

At present, third party votes will ensure more of 0thugga’s helpers to win.

And if more conservatives run for office as “R’s”, this will bring more conservative voters still.

You're still not seeing the problem here. Too many on this site they will overlook these issues come general election. In 2000 a few of us on this board were warning GW Bush was no Conservative in any sense of the word. Many of them ended up booted off the forum for doing so. We were in fact right.

What can you say about a man when he tells you that he and Mr Gore are not far apart on most issues? George Walker Bush is the reason we have a Barrack Obama in office today. He lowered the standards as to what is considered to be a conservative by miles. Lowered so far the John McCain was considered a conservative?

Many in the party are in fact Social Liberals not just a few. They migrated here from the Democratic Party actually. They are not a majority but here is how they achieve majority control of the GOP. They do it through the GOP Straight Ticket {the Dems can't win at any cost including electing a RINO instead} voters who refuse to vote for a worthy Conservative Independent. They will vote for a Progressive Liberal for a party win. Until this is stopped the Liberals will control the GOP. Sad to say FR has many in here who do just this very thing. The Liberals have nothing to fear as long as they have their party loyal enablers.

At present, third party votes will ensure more of 0thugga’s helpers to win.

Thank you for proving my very point on this matter. Here is my answer to what you said and it's found in GOD's Word on this matter.

If…My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

It's called changing ones ways. Change of heart and change of ones ways is required. We can't pray to GOD asking Him to save and restore our beloved nation and then turnaround and go vote for those who mock His Word. It will not work. Your moral and religious principles are who and what you are and stand for and should not be for sale for political gain niot now not ever. "ACT IN FAITH" by voting for your convictions and GOD will handle the rest. I believe GOD will heal our nation only when we as a nation do what is right {meaning standing on our beliefs at all cost} over what is short term expedient.

I read what you wrote, but here are a couple of thoughts.

Human agency can only do so much - especially one person, for instance, you or me - to change anything for the better. I agree that some of kind divine intervention is needed, or Natural Law kicking in, or whatever people want to call it. I also agree that the more individuals who adhere in person and in action and speech to religious moral principles, the sooner things will improve for the nation.

But even in wartime there are tactics used to win wars. And voting for a third party candidate (who also is not perfect, as very few are in this world) who is guaranteed to lose, and will also likely allow a Dem to win, is not a winning tactic.

Being moral and being practical do not have to cross each other out.

My thoughts are it's squandering your vote to make a point no one heard. But the opposition loves it. They'll encourage more of it this November. And some will fall for it. Again.

No third party is ever going to get a majority vote. Voting third party is no different than not voting at all.

The real answer is to get conservatives in local positions of power and move them up in the Republican Party. Conservatives CAN take over from the inside. Meanwhile we did manage to get conservatives into this race. We need to be loud and insistent, instead of wasting our precious votes on losing 3rd party candidates and calling it "principles".

How much longer do you really think we have as a nation? Do you think we are any better than all other previous nations throughout history GOD has judged for allowing wickedness? One man brought down an army with a sling. He later became a King. One men was sent to preach to a city to try and save it. The man refused and was swallowed into a whale that one man did in fact do what was right afterward and the city spared many more years. What can one mans actions accomplish? You know the answer to that. Through one man sin entered this world and through one man it can be taken away.

I wouldn't use war time as an example. The Book on War was written of GOD and it's tactics. We as a nation ignored that also. Do you think the Gay agenda is just political? It's spiritual and demonic. It is an abomination which brings desolation. Compromising with the enemy is not an option in war. Look in the churches today. Look at how many have fallen away. They are there because not enough people had the guts or will to say no no matter what the cost.

If a DEM wins GOD will handle it same with anyone else. The DEMs have some very evil leaders and so does the GOP. The problem here is we curse the evil ones in the DEM Party and vote for the same thing in the GOP come election time if they win the primary. There is a word for that called hypocrites. Did you know that one of the Co-Founders of The Moral Majority was a registered Democrat?

Look at the number of fallen churches who just in the past 20 years are accepting Gays not just into membership {not the same as forbidding them to attend or not allowing a ministry to them}, allowing them to be the preachers, deacons, teachers, and allowing Gay weddings in the very House Of GOD.

How serious is this sin? It's more serious than likely any other short of the complete rejection of Christ. How do we know? Look at Lot. GOD for Abraham's sake spared him. Yet what did Lot later do? Impregnated his own daughters. For that matter Lot offered his daughters to the queers before Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. That is how vile the sin is considered.

Now I do believe with all my being that when our hearts are right toward GOD and we act in faith even when reality and odds are against us GOD will prevail. GOD has dealt one on one with every wicked leader since mans time on earth.

However, I also believe that in the US the Constitution Rules, and one may contract for whatever one wishes aside from Slavery.

Marriage is from a religious perspective a contract between man, woman, and God. From a societal perspective it is a contract between man, woman, and society.

There is no Constitutional power to contract that which supersedes God the unalienable nor is there power to force such a contract as society regards destructive and without value upon society.

If homosexuals wish to play house then they can do it on their own dime -society places no value in the absurd and will not be forced to grant privilege, subsidize, or reward it...

I agree that these stories are designed to demoralize Republicans. Also, I think it is funny that they pick people under thirty as if people under thirties are supposed to know anything. ;^D

The wording that they use just creates the illusion that these twenty-somethings are going to keep those same media shaped, peer pressure shaped, leftist school shaped values throughout their lives. But it has been shown many times, that people tend to become more conservative as they mature, especially as they take on responsibilities like families. It takes time for people to wise up especially today because of the schools’ leftist indoctrination, the liberal media and the youth peer group which is shaped by the liberal media.

Watch, as people have more of this gay/bisexual/lesbian/cross dressing/transsexual —to be continued agenda, people will want to vomit this sicko agenda. There have been whole books devoted to the many types of sexual perversions, wait till they all start organizing and demanding their ‘rights”.

Here is a question for gay marriage supporters—what about bisexuals, isn't it unfair to them to have to chose between one sex or the other? Will they be next to demand their “rights” to “marry” two people that they “love”.

I am pretty confident that people will stay awake or we wouldn’t be hearing this term “RINO”. People evented the term RINO because they could tell that there was a difference between Republicans of principle an those who were just in it for themselves. The American people have been lied to by some really slick manipulators for a really long time and now they are waking up. Millions of people realize that it is about deception—deception is what has been slowly killing this country.

Yes but if conservatives get in office in 2010, voters may believe the problem is solved. I could be wrong as Bam will still be in the Whitey House. That may scare voters enough to keep watch. But not everyone is as political as we are.
