Great pic! My mom and godparents just called from DC and said they couldn’t even get near the Lincoln Memorial or the broadcast screens. But they were thrilled to be there!

Thank goodness for twitter, FR (and you Kristinn), FaceBook, live cam, etc. There is no way the Liberal media is going to be able to downplay the attendance at this, as they did for the Tea Party rally in DC. Oh, sure, they will try...but the evidence of the truth is ever where. It seems the crowds are already up to near full capacity, and still more coming.

Yep. A local news report of outlying Metro stations being jammed:

9:10 a.m. Delays on Metro, at Metro

Metro is reporting delays on almost every line, and long lines at stations, especially at the end of lines, due to fare card issues. According to Metro, usually tour groups buy fare cards in advance; that doesn't seem to be the case today. Many of the customers are standing in long lines and are not familiar with the fare card machines.

Reports from the Franconia station on the Blue Line have lines around the station.

What really gets to me about this is the way the left is saying this somehow dishonors MLK, as if Sarah, Glen Beck and MLK’s niece were all going to get up and preach segregation and racism. since when is talking about the constitution, freedom and obeying the law of the land racist? Time to fight back hard.

I was thinking the same thing after watching that hit piece last night on ABC's Nightline.

The reporter was trying to get MLK's niece to condemn Beck for using MLK's speech anniversary to advance Beck's and the Tea Party's cause. MLK's niece wouldn't have any of it and just talked about how MLK would've loved Beck today and even the tea party. But the reporter was adamant and persisted with the line of questioning instead of covering what the rally was really all about.
