Chris Matthews played Joe McCarthy today. Furiously commenting on Glenn Beck's rally today in D.C., he went absolutely berserk. "Who stole America? I want to know, who stole America? Give me the names! Who stole America?" President Obama put the government in charge of student loans, took over the auto industry, instituted ObamaCare which forces Americans to buy insurance and pay more for it, VASTLY increased the size of government, surrounded himself with radicals in the White House, put a cloak of protection around all the unions, has outlawed the use of terms such as "War on Terror" and "Islamofascism," put a ban on drilling in the Gulf which will make us more dependent on foreign oil and cost us much needed jobs, and has spent trillions of dollars we don't have. In other words, Chris, we think he's NOT ONLY RUINED THE COUNTRY, BUT HE'S STOLEN IT FROM US.

He’s infuriated that Beck has been focusing on civil rights and how African Americans have made huge contributions to the American experience, because that’s not Beck’s job. That’s supposed to be the job of Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson, and Van Jones, and Barack Obama, and the Progressive Left.

That's an outstanding point that says it all. The lefties have been brilliant in using certain elements of our shared past against us TODAY, as if somehow being for state's rights TODAY makes us in cahoots with those who were pro-slavery.

It's a new day, and we have to stand up and say "That crap won't work on me, Chrissy--I'm standing for what I stand for, don't try to paint me as someone who I've never known, met or supported."
