And the poll was done before we learned of Charlie’s visit to the Vinyard.

Rubio is going to be the next US Senator from the great State of Florida. No matter what the “Drive By” media spins, Charlie Crist is toast and Meek isn’t even a viable candidate. I actually am hoping that POTUS Obama campaigns heavily with Meek, destroying him even further!!!

Crist will fade out of view quickly. He has no party-backed apparatus to help him out. The Democrats are now all-in with Meeks; the Repubs with Rubio. That means state wide offices for each party will be getting their candidates message out. Unless Crist is going to shell out millions of his own money, he’s looking pretty stale - and even if he did have the cash to use there’s no guarantee it will pay off anyway. Dana Perrino predicted to Hannity that once Meeks was given the green light by Democrats Crist was in huge trouble because he has no staff, or party structure to help him. He’s history.

This is great news!

It is a little bit of concern that overall Obama’s polling seems to be up several points over the last week, but the state polling still seems to be giving our candidates a lift.

Florida is important in 2010! Both Rubio and Lt. Col. West can, if elected, be articulate spokesmen for the ideas of Washington, Adams, and Jefferson.

Unlike the Republicans who talk "conservatism," but participate in expansion of government power, these two have the God-given abilities to speak to current generations about the ideas of liberty--in the tradition of America's Founders.

That is why the Left, and the Republican establishment as well, will undermine them, if left unmonitored. They are a threat to the Washington status quo. National public support by those who love liberty should be thrown to them.

Marco will become a leading candidate for 2016. Might be just the new young conservative leader we need.

To the democrat writers, note that “leans republican” is a ten point republican lead ... And gaining.

But CA races that are tied are all “led” or “maintains lead” by the “front-runner” democrat.

Rubio is going to win big. He only needs to get more than the next guy (Florida does not have run-off elections), but I will bet now Rubio will be elected with over 50% of the vote.

Crist has nothing going for him except one demographic: People who cannot bring themselves to vote for a Republican, and can't bring themselves to vote for a black man. Think racist union thugs. Of course, the fact Crist used to be a Republican will play against him in this demographic.

Any increase in Meek's support will come from Crist's supporters, not Rubio's. Likewise, any increase in Rubio's support will come from Crist's supporters, not Meek's.

Here, the advantage is to Rubio, due to the fact Crist's independent run is clearly an act of political self-preservation, and Crist's flip-flopping and refusal to commit to any policies is going to cause his support in the center and center-right to evaporate quickly.

Meek's best path is to position Rubio as the devil incarnate and Crist as unable to win. This is the classic strategy when you have somebody splitting the vote. Crist could benefit from this, but he will be fending off attacks from Rubio and various conservative groups. If Meek is not able to scare voters about Rubio and Crist, he will have to come after Crist directly. Then Crist will be a punching bag between two big money campaigns.

The way this plays out is Crist has to get support from both Rubio and Meek supporters. That is really hard to do.

Crist's true support level is probably about 15% (left of center independents). Meek's is probably about 35% (true Democrats).

When you eliminate the undecideds, the breakdown for the race is about 44% Rubio, 33% Crist, and 23% Meek. I expect that to shift to about 50% Rubio, 30% Meek, and 20% Crist by the end of September.

That’s very good news.
Crist is a slimy one, and needs to be buried politically.

Brilliant, spot on analysis..I’ve said here for over a month that Crist will finish THIRD...I suspect that as his numbers, and his $$$ really shrink, I think he might try to save his ass and drop out and endorse Meek, in return for a job in the Obama admin...

Amen.

Lt. Col West is the man to watch. He knows the Constitution backwards and forwards. He knows the BIBLE. His knows the enemy and how they must be fought. He loves this country and has strong leadership. NO ONE makes this man back down.

We do not want him to go away just yet because he will still split the Democrats. Let us hope that man-child Charlie is still in his narcissist frame of mind for two months and 4 days more.
