LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- President Barack Obama's controversial former pastor is referring to people who wrongly believe Obama is Muslim as "psychopaths."

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright delivered a fiery sermon Sunday at the New Millennium Church in Little Rock that largely criticized supporters of the Iraq war.

Sticks and stones. The word “psychopath,” like “racist” and “bigot,” has lost any serious meaning due to people using it to disparage their everyday opponents in everyday conflicts of everyday ideas. It’s a playground insult, and we all know playground shouting matches are contests to see who can come up with the nastiest words, not to see who can make the most truthful statements.

Rev. Wright's congregations have tended to be as much political as theological. There is probably more condemnation of US and Israeli foreign policy than condemnation of sin. And there is that racial element...all the sinners seem to be white.

And yes, Wright did say that the US engineered the AIDS virus to wipe out people of color, or something to that effect. WTF?
