What a hoot! The classical liberal arts education included study in the areas of language, oratory, logic, algebra, geometry, astronomy, and music -- the seven liberal arts -- and was intended to teach free men how to think and attain knowledge. Islam abandoned logic more than 1,000 years ago. Progressives in this country have been trying to eliminate logic from our educational curriculum for the same reasons Muslims dropped the subject -- because it jeopardizes those desiring dictatorial power.
The only way an Islamic liberal arts college can exist is within the progressives' concept of a modern day liberal arts education, which is structured not to teach students how to think, but rather what to think.
