Muslim Bullying At the Happiest Place On Earth (Muslim employee wants Disney to accomodate Sharia)

Originally posted at David Horowitz’s Newsreal:

A Muslim Disneyland Resort hotel employee, Imane Boudlal, has filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission over Disney’s refusal to let her wear a hijab in front of customers. Now, the Council on American-Islamic Relations is involved, and they’re crying religious discrimination. But is it? Unfortunately for CAIR and Boudlal, the case isn’t quite so cut and dried. This seems to be yet another case of Muslim bullying, this time at the happiest place on Earth.

Boudlal, and her extremist friends at CAIR, are busily spinning the truth about her employment with Disney to try to bully the company into accommodating sharia. The truth is that Disney has tried to work with Boudlal, and every time, she refused.

A Muslim employee is refusing to wear a hat and bonnet that Disney provided in place of a head scarf, which she wants to leave on at work for religious reasons.

Imane Boudlal, a restaurant hostess at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, last week in a press conference accused Disney of religious discrimination for refusing to let her wear a hijab, a head scarf, in public view.

On Monday, Disney offered Boudlal a bonnet with a hat to wear at work in public.

Boudlal rejected the new headwear and went home for a seventh time, according to the hotel workers’ union, Unite Here Local 11. Disney has offered to let her work behind the scenes with the head scarf, but Boudlal has refused.

“The hat makes a joke of me and my religion, and draws even more attention to me,” Boudlal said in a prepared statement. “It’s unacceptable.”

Suzi Brown, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman, said managers are still trying to meet Boudlal’s request after providing options, including alternative costumes. The company also offered her four different jobs that would allow her to wear her own head scarf.

“We provided Ms. Boudlal with several options, including a modified costume that includes a blouse with a higher neckline and a newly designed head covering that meets our costuming guidelines and which we believe provides a reasonable accommodation of Ms. Boudal’s religious beliefs,” Brown said in a prepared statement.

Boudlal could not immediately be reached for further comment. Her attorney also could not be reached.

So Disney does everything they can to work with Boudlal, to keep her as an employee without making her compromise her religious values. They gave her alternate costuming, they offered her a job backstage, and yet everything they offered, she refused. Now she’s suing Disney and filing a complaint against them. And we’re supposed to find Boudlal at the victim here?

It used to be the case that in America, a business could be run however the owner saw fit. In today’s politically correct world, that’s apparently no longer the case. Let’s take the obvious example: Disney. Disney looks at their entire operation as a “show”, and as such, their employees aren’t even called employees. They’re called cast members, and cast members sign a contract upon employment agreeing to adhere to Disney’s incredibly strict dress code. Believe it or not, the dress code has been loosened in recent years; it used to be even stricter than it is now. Until recently, men couldn’t have moustaches and women had to wear pantyhose if they wore shorts or a skirt (imagine that during summertime in Orlando at DisneyWorld). Women can also now have bare arms while at work. Disney even has a dress code for visitors — for paying customers! This is all because there is an image that Disney is trying to uphold of a clean-cut, family-oriented place. It’s also to keep up with the various Disney themes throughout the parks (in Liberty Square at Disney World, for example, cast members wear full colonial costumes, including bonnets, dresses, and petticoats for women). Cast members are not given uniforms, they’re given costumes, and they are required to wear these costumes to keep the Disney look uniform. This would seem to make sense to reasonable people, especially when a cast member works in front of the public. When an employee is hired, they are made aware of the stringent dress code and are expected to comply.

And for two years, Boudlal worked at Disney with no complaint. Then suddenly, she became an American citizen and decided she wanted to start wearing a hijab. What made her change her mind and why was it suddenly so important to her? This obviously goes against the Disney dress code and yet, Disney still tried to accommodate her. There’s a long paper trail of proof of all the different ways Disney tried to make her happy, but she refused every one of them. And now she’s trying to cash in. This isn’t religious discrimination; it’s nothing more than a case of a greedy woman and a scheming organization trying to bully a multi-million dollar company.

She sues (financed by CAIR), gets $1,000,000, splits it in half with CAIR lawyers and now they have about $2,000,000 more to spend on promoting terrorism. Seems simple to me.

Spread rumors that she is a secret convert to Christianity.

Disney World Guest Appearance Guidelines

Disney World reserves the right to exclude visitors to their gated attractions who wear clothing that could create a distraction. This policy is in effect at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney MGM Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Pleasure Island and Disney Quest.

Examples of unacceptable attire includes:

Clothing displaying offensive messages/language

Adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as a costume (children under age 10 are excluded)
Clothing made with offensive material, (ie transparent)
Clothing that is excessively torn
Clothing which exposes inappropriate portions of the body such as string bikini tops, G-strings, bikini bottoms, etc.
Guests wearing wedding attire are discouraged from entering the Theme Parks.
All Disney Theme Park guests are required to wear shirts and shoes at all times. Swimsuit tops are allowed when worn with other appropriate clothing.

Disney’s Pleasure Island, Disney Quest, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have other criteria in place which may vary from the general appearance guidelines. Depending on the venue and event, variations may be acceptable.

How is it that we let people who are members of a cult seeking to destroy us and all infidels, give them EEO job preference and then bow to their demands to use laws from their home country instead of our own?

Why are we sitting in homes just shaking our heads, saying "tsk, tsk, tsk"...there should be a mass uprising over this crap. If Disney yields to this, all Disney theme parks should be boycotted for Un-American activities.

I don’t see Disney acquiescing on this. Knowing what I know about the House of Mouse, Disney is going to run this idiot up the flagpole as an example. I have plenty of friends who work over there, and they will be the first to tell you that if you don’t “fit” Disney’s required image, you lose you job or don’t get one to start.

She obviously interviewed and went through the hiring process. I can’t imagine she was given her job with a hijab on her head. This is more Muslim interference with our way of life.

For those who might have missed this:

Dr. Peter Hammond’s book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat. www.frontline.org.za/books_videos/sti.htm

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness.

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs [Europe, Australia, USA and Japan]. Six percent of US prison inmates are Muslim. Like any other minority, they won’t integrate, but work to build their own separate community.

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. South Africa’s Muslim population is 2%, but they control 35% of the businesses, a large percentage of the banks and have five Cabinet seats while Christians (77% of the population) have none.

They will push for the introduction of halaal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves (along with threats for failure to comply).

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia; Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world, but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. (Ei: car-burnings in France last October.) Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats.

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning (India, Mindanao, Philippines).

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare [Indonesia].

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya (infidel tax). (Sudan, Kosovo, Lebanon and Egypt).

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide [Western Papua (New Guinea), Iran, Biafra, Turkey and North Nigeria]. 10

0% will usher in the peace of “Dar-es-Salaam” - House of Peace - as in Saudi Arabia, Libya and Yemen.

If it makes a joke of your religion then leave we don't need to hear any more whining Muslims. The Disney people have told you that you can work in the back ground and not be seen by the public but no you have to push yourself on everyone..

I am tired of my Christina belief being stomped on while you people push yours on us.Our ancestors were here first and Christianity is the way we started this country if you don't like it take off and go back where you can step on everyone and pray for your perverted Muslim leader Mohammad..

Disney has provided the above rendering of the second option created for Boudlal. The rendering shows what Disney said was the inspiration for the costume piece, a sketch of a hat taken from a 1915 catalog. The proposed head covering is made from the same fabric as the costume vest. Disney says this head covering matches the restaurant theme as well as the hostess costume.

Another female Muslim cast member was seen working "on stage" last week wearing a Disney-designed head covering. A Disney spokesperson confirms that the Resort has created a head covering for a College Program cast member who requested a religious accommodation / exception to the Disney Look, and said such requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. A MousePlanet reader who saw this second cast member on stage last week said that the head covering looked very much like the one shown in the sketch above, but was made from fabric matching that cast member's costume. Muslims lie. There is nothing in her religion that requires her to wear that scarf while living in a "non-believer" nation.

The Islamic legal principle is called "al-darura" and it means "of necessity." It is a comprehensive principle that covers all "fiqhs" and it allows Muslims to perform actions that are normally forbidden. Under "al-darura" they may handle pork, skip prayers (to be made up later), wear western dress, do pretty much whatever is necessary for daily life in a "kafir" or non-believer nation-like the USA.

Anytime a vital interest needs to be protected, darura exists. Those vital interests are religion, person, offspring, property and reason. It operates under the principle known as al-darura tubihu l-mahdhurat meaning "necessity lifts prohibition" and it can lift restrictions on normally prohibited actions, or relieve obligation to perform normally required actions. All that is required is that a "mufti" issue a fatwa under in accordance with a ruling from an Islamic legal authorty.

Muslims under "al-darura" suffer no mortal penalty. They remain in compliance with their beliefs.

All that this case involves is preference and the desires of the individual in question. Legal experts cite the "psychology" of the individual in living under these exceptions.

So the lawsuit and CAIR's claims are totally bogus.

This is not my opinion, it is from Islamic legal experts: Muslim Alternative Dispute Resolution and Neo-Ijtihad in England
