Unhinged Ed Schultz Goes on Psycho Talk Promo of Failing Show
NewsBusters ^ | August 30, 2010 | P.J. Gladnick

Posted on 08/30/2010 12:08:54 PM PDT by PJ-Comix

Your pink slip is on the way.

That is the fear that is probably driving Ed Schultz completely over the edge. And Big Ed probably insured the likelihood of that outcome when he recently threatened to go postal and torch MSNBC when that network neglected to promote his abysmally rated show on an election night.

Brian Maloney at the Radio Equalizer has recorded the Schultz dementia from his radio show as he pathetically makes the case for the "success" of his failing MSNBC Big Ed show. The full transcript is below the fold but first an excerpt from his demonic rant which demonstrates why the MSNBC suits, for safety sake, might want to pass Ed through a metal detector whenever he enters their studio:

And you have no idea, in my bones, in my very soul! In my heart! I want to kick Fox's ass! I want to drive them into the ground! I want to spike the ball! I want to kick 'em in the teeth on the way back to the huddle! And then I want to turn around and lift my leg on 'em! Because that's all they're worth!

The Big Ed show is on two of the TVs in front of our gym’s treadmills, so I get this guy’s mug in my face 4 times a week. His vile, miserable tirade is so outrageous, I was beginning to think he was a joke.

Notice, he claims Fox drops in the 6PM hour against him, but doesn’t state how his ratings adjust during that slot. Appears a sleight of hand without further information. And that’s what this jerk is all about.

Take down Fox? Yeah, right.

They won't get rid of him. The suits at MSNBC encourage that behavior. They knew what they were getting when he was hired on. You don't need a membership or decoder ring to listen to his show on the internet either, you just need an iron stomach.

Make book on this: When Alan Grayson loses his re-election bid this fall, MSNBC will give him a show too, and he'll be going nuts 5 nights a week too.

One of the TVs used to have Glenn Beck on, and all of a sudden he was gone. I asked management who said it was Corporate’s decision to change Beck.

This guy has nothing going for him. He's certifiable. He was a failure on radio so he goes to MSNBC. He's a failure there. I'm sure the slimy folks over at Pacifica already have his resume. The guy is a total loser.

It will be interesting to see what will happen at MSNBC with the management changes coming. It will be explosive.

This pathetic dolt actually challenged Limbaugh to debate "anything you like" when he was first on TV...saying Limbaugh's audience would "love" it.

Shows how dumb and out-of-touch he is.

Rush likes to poke fun at libs by pointing out he can out do them with the proverbial "half my brain tied behind my back".

In the case of Schultz, it would be so effortless on Rush's part that it would be hard even for "ditto-heads" to watch, since we're obviously far more compassionate than Not-So-Steady Eddie's angry mob.

It would be akin to Muhammad Ali in his prime taking on a drunken bar brawler.

It could only end in more criticism of Rush...this time for beating up on a child.

That would be Charles Schultz, creator of Peanuts, with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, and the gang. Charles Schultz was a professing Christian and when I wrote him a letter at the age of ten, he wrote me back, personally (not a form letter)! I have the letter framed on my wall!

I think if Charles Schultz was alive today, he would sympathize politically with we FReepers.

"They won't get rid of him. The suits at MSNBC encourage that behavior. "

I heard last week that he had a meltdown in the studio and threatened to "burn the place down", and was told that one more such outburst and he'd be fired.

Certainly sounds like he's getting closer and closer to the edge of the ledge.

Shame if something happened to him, being such a stand up guy, and all. ;>)

After sixteen weeks on the air, MSNBC’s EdShow is on life support. Instead of growing, its ratings have gone down. In fact, they’re lower than those of David Schuster, who was booted from the time slot to make room for Schultz.

May not happen due to the Comcast buyout of NBC. Comcast is by no means right or center but they sure are about making money. Unlike NBC they will always choose dollars over leftism. Expect to see many of the no ratings MSNBC ( all of them ) hosts out of a job once Comcast takes over.

According to TVNewser, Schultz’s ratings in the 6 pm slot are less than half those of “Special Report w/Bret Baier.” Ed should thank God that CNN still has Wolf Blitzer on the air against him; otherwise, he wouldn’t attract 100,000 viewers on any given night.
