Your pink slip is on the way.
That is the fear that is probably driving Ed Schultz completely over the edge. And Big Ed probably insured the likelihood of that outcome when he recently threatened to go postal and torch MSNBC when that network neglected to promote his abysmally rated show on an election night.
Brian Maloney at the Radio Equalizer has recorded the Schultz dementia from his radio show as he pathetically makes the case for the "success" of his failing MSNBC Big Ed show. The full transcript is below the fold but first an excerpt from his demonic rant which demonstrates why the MSNBC suits, for safety sake, might want to pass Ed through a metal detector whenever he enters their studio:
And you have no idea, in my bones, in my very soul! In my heart! I want to kick Fox's ass! I want to drive them into the ground! I want to spike the ball! I want to kick 'em in the teeth on the way back to the huddle! And then I want to turn around and lift my leg on 'em! Because that's all they're worth!

“Hello, I’m ‘Mr. Ed’!”:
This clown is a certifiable nutjob. Which is why he fits right in at MSNBC.
The Big Ed show is on two of the TVs in front of our gym’s treadmills, so I get this guy’s mug in my face 4 times a week. His vile, miserable tirade is so outrageous, I was beginning to think he was a joke.
Who is Ed Schultz? Didn’t he write a comic strip or something?
Its actually sad. So much hate brings insanity, Mr. Ed is fixing to have a heart attack.
Everyone at MSNBC is nuts. Ed is just a certifiable lunatic.
Hmmm, not one black correspondent????
Libtards in full melt down...what could be more entertaining?
Ed reminds me of a little Chihuahua that barks and goes berserk behind his owner’s chainlink fence as a Rottweiler walks by.
Notice, he claims Fox drops in the 6PM hour against him, but doesn’t state how his ratings adjust during that slot. Appears a sleight of hand without further information. And that’s what this jerk is all about.
Take down Fox? Yeah, right.
And they cry about Rush?
Rush would never, never act like this insane idiot.
They really need to watch him.
He just might entice someone to do his bidding.
Make book on this: When Alan Grayson loses his re-election bid this fall, MSNBC will give him a show too, and he'll be going nuts 5 nights a week too.
But they have several homos.
He's not that talented.

“I think I’d find a new gym.”
One of the TVs used to have Glenn Beck on, and all of a sudden he was gone. I asked management who said it was Corporate’s decision to change Beck.
OK...if he didn’t write a comic strip, then did he color in some coloring books?
Shows how dumb and out-of-touch he is.
Rush likes to poke fun at libs by pointing out he can out do them with the proverbial "half my brain tied behind my back".
In the case of Schultz, it would be so effortless on Rush's part that it would be hard even for "ditto-heads" to watch, since we're obviously far more compassionate than Not-So-Steady Eddie's angry mob.
It would be akin to Muhammad Ali in his prime taking on a drunken bar brawler.
It could only end in more criticism of Rush...this time for beating up on a child.
That would be Charles Schultz, creator of Peanuts, with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, and the gang. Charles Schultz was a professing Christian and when I wrote him a letter at the age of ten, he wrote me back, personally (not a form letter)! I have the letter framed on my wall!
I think if Charles Schultz was alive today, he would sympathize politically with we FReepers.
Special Ed.
You made me add to my tag line :)
Don’t worry Ed your show is unwatchable and it will always be that way. Fox is getting worse and I turn it off more these days also.
Ed doesn’t hold his liquor very well.
I heard last week that he had a meltdown in the studio and threatened to "burn the place down", and was told that one more such outburst and he'd be fired.
Certainly sounds like he's getting closer and closer to the edge of the ledge.
Shame if something happened to him, being such a stand up guy, and all. ;>)
angry, bitter little man isn’t he?
Hey Ed, project much?
May not happen due to the Comcast buyout of NBC. Comcast is by no means right or center but they sure are about making money. Unlike NBC they will always choose dollars over leftism. Expect to see many of the no ratings MSNBC ( all of them ) hosts out of a job once Comcast takes over.
I would love to see MSNBC security guards walk Ed out of the building with a cardboard box of his stuff.
I love how these liberal "tough" guys want to harm Fox or Republicans, but they want to bend over for Islamic terrorists.

*Perhaps they need tranquillizer darts to put Ed down before they hand him his pink slip.*
HEE HEE! Maybe some jarts filled with “soothing syrup.”
He is a danger to himself and others.
He’s gonna need alot of thorazine!
He is as bitter as Al Sharpton looked Saturday night on Geraldo’s show. I think crazy Ed’s show is put together by Media Matters, because it consisted of nothing but trying to put down Fox News.
*Who is Ed Schultz? Didnt he write a comic strip or something?*
Schultz is famous for his tagline:
“I KNOW NOTHING!”
;-)
Typical cogent Leftist argument.
Could it be an act to attract viewers who want to watch him go berserk?
According to TVNewser, Schultz’s ratings in the 6 pm slot are less than half those of “Special Report w/Bret Baier.” Ed should thank God that CNN still has Wolf Blitzer on the air against him; otherwise, he wouldn’t attract 100,000 viewers on any given night.
| Program Date | 25-54 Demo | Total Audience |
|---|---|---|
| Schultz most recent | Mon, July 27 | 121,000 501,000 |
| Schultz premiere | Mon, Apr 6 | 247,000 725,000 |
| Schusters final | Mon, Apr 6 | 153,000 579,000 |
Maybe they’ll dump Capus too. He hired that fool and all the rest of that trash on that network.
See my post #37. Less than 1/3 is more like it...
*In the case of Schultz, it would be so effortless on Rush’s part that it would be hard even for “ditto-heads” to watch, since we’re obviously far more compassionate than Not-So-Steady Eddie’s angry mob.*
Rush could phone it in while he’s playing 4 games of chess and building a ship in a bottle to make it more fair.
Schultz is a loser, MSNBC knows it and the ratinngs prove it. I ca’t wait to see who they choose to replace him.
