Monday August 30, 2010Later Abortions Linked to Psychological Problems: Study
Springfield, IL, August 27, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A study of women who had abortions has found that women undergoing later abortions face increased psychological risks, are more likely to be ambivalent about having an abortion and are more likely to need counseling and support. - their partner desired the pregnancy (22.4 percent of women who had later abortions vs. 10.3 percent of women who had early abortions); The authors wrote, however, that many likely had abortions "despite ambivalence or actually desiring to continue the pregnancy." Feelings of ambivalence or having an unwanted abortion are known risk factors for psychological problems after abortion. |

Of course, groups like Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and as well as NOW, will argue that abortion is good for the health of women/girls. Apparently, only in a pig's eye is that true...

More evidence that abortion is bad for women! It is harmful to kill your own baby. Women need support and counseling - encouraged to allow their babies to live, and help with adoptions if they can't or won't raise their babies.
I think that a large percentage of young women in particular are pressured into abortion. How cruel that is, and how much it must affect them forever. Imagine being pregnant and having the father of your child exhorting you to abort that child, and/or having your parents and his do the same.
That happened to someone I knew, and although I only found out about it years later, it has haunted me ever since.
She did not want to have an abortion, but was afraid of her boyfriend. At the time, she had a broken arm. It is unclear the source of this woman's broken arm. I don't know if the boyfriend broke her arm as a warning or broke her arm in a fight on forcing her to have an abortion, or whatever. As I said, it is unclear how she broke her arm. But the pro-life folks had to get a restraining order against the boyfriend for the woman/girl to feel safe.
It is disturbing to me that men will intimidate and hurt women so that they will abort their babies...
File Under, “Duh!”
I think it happens more often than we might, as a society, think.
