In an anatomy class I had the opportunity to see the dissection of a chronic alcoholic’s abdomen. The cirrhotic liver was as hard as wood, while the aorta was as pink and clean and flexible as an 18-year-old’s. If you can take in enough to keep the pipes clean but not so much that you develop cirrhosis and varices, I can see how it would prolong life.
Who was offering scientific analysis?

Willie Nelson: “There’s more old drunks than there are old doctors/ so I guess we’d better have another round.”
What a load of garbage...I guess alcohol is actually GOOD for the liver...
Could be like smokers, get ‘em young and they are hooked “real good”! Young people still believe in the printed word. You have to be older and more experienced to discern between truth and propaganda!
>alcohol thins blood and slows calcification of arteries<
Aspirin is cheaper.
Aspirin doesn’t taste nearly as good, and doesn’t mix well with 7UP.
Alcohol with 7-Up? Yuck!
