I would say so! I lurked for years myself before signing on —

A few people I know constantly ask “How do you know that??” when I bring up political or other topics I’ve read about.

My response is always “FreeRepublic — the good folks there post items from newspapers, wire services, etc., from all over the world — take a look and see it for yourself!”

One in particular is always challenging what I tell him and I KNOW he is lurking at FR now —
