The mother of "The Brady Bunch," a former NFL quarterback, one of the self-proclaimed "guidos" from "Jersey Shore" and the daughter of Sarah Palin are among the celebrities who will cha-cha-cha on the 11th season of "Dancing with the Stars."

When are the gay activists going to target “Dancing With The Stars” so that we see same sex couples dancing? Don’t they have a rule that all couples must be boy/girl?
The gay activists successfully pressured “The Today Show” to include same-sex couples in a wedding contest. So I would expect that they will eventually target a show such as this, which has an “irrational, archaic” assumption that couples are opposite sex.
She’ll be fine.
Slim & trim, eat your heart out Levi !
More Palin genius.
A distraction for the media. THAT can’t be bad.
Ugh! Sorry folks, this is a bad idea!
I am. It would be nearly impossible for me to care less about this.
I think it very odd. Does Governor Palin really want her daughter to be caught in the celebrity maw? Is this a sign that she has no intention running for president?
I saw Kurt Warner is dancing too. Blew my mind.

Bristol Palin and (2-time champion)Mark Ballas on "Good Morning America" Tuesday
???
Living off her mom’s fame....shouldn’t she be signing up for classes at a junior college at this point in her life?
And who’s going to take care of her baby while she’s doing all the practice needed for this show?
Nice priorities....
Bristol Palin, Mark Ballas Paired For 'Dancing With The Stars'
You know, I watched this show for one season, and found it moderately entertaining.
Now I think it is inane.
So is the idea of Ms. Palin appearing on the show.
Really stupid and bad idea.
Sorry.
More like part of the family business.
Good for her. Why not?
Yeah, you are.
If you're like me, you're wondering when this girl's 15 minutes are up.
And you're perhaps also wondering if she feels any embarrassment at all about the fact that the main reason she's on the show at all is because she birthed another celebrity's illegitimate grandchild.
Ahhhh, to be a member of the Tabloidocracy....
She wouldn't have been considered at all had she not also, quite publicly, had a child out of wedlock.
I’ve never watched the show before, but I think I’ll give it a try this season. Is the audience able to vote like American Idol?
My concern is that she (and her family by extension) may be seen as publicity mongers...
I'll grant you two out of four even without knowing which QB.
The other two? Reminds me of the "Celebrity Apprentice" where (I think) the guy from "The Sopranos" asked Omarossa who she was, and then told her, "I've never heard of you."
More fodder for the hateful MSM to spin into a fanciful diatribe against Gov. Palin.
Warner’s story is amazing in it self. He is a comitted Christian.
More fodder for the hateful MSM to spin into a fanciful diatribe against Gov. Palin.
Having Bristol on the show will make we 10 times more likely to watch the show than I do now.
Then again, 10 times 0 is still 0!
Yes you can vote similar to “American Idol”. I watch the show but Bristol on the show concerns me...
(Some of the "rocket scientists" on this thread seem to have forgotten that THEY asked HER to be on the show. Sarah Palin didn't put a gun to anyone's head).
What is wrong with having some fun in life? She is a devoted mother to her son, and I am sure the baby is going to be well cared for while she participates. It’s possible her contract includes child care so he can be with her on location.
Why not? Because Bristol has already caused enough damage by her selfish choices.
Good for Bristol. She dances, makes some money. What’s not to like.
Getting vexed over this, IMO, indicates too much time and free-floating negativity looking for a place to be directed.
Not very appealing.
Tell me how this is selfish to dance on a show that approached her. I know it is her name that they are after. Still, why not? How does it effect anything?
And we have a right to note that this is a show based on the idea of watching celebrities dance, and to wonder what makes Bristol Palin a "celebrity."
Well, that's pretty obvious, isn't it? It's because she's the unwed mother of Sarah Palin's grandchild. Being Sarah Palin's kid is not sufficient. Being an unwed mother is not sufficient. But both....? It's the combination makes her a celebrity.
A girl with any sense of propriety might wish to avoid that sort of attention.
Nasty, passive agressive little girl with some serious mommy issues. Or at least how I interpret it.
Can you imagine how boring it must be in Wasilla, hunt'n, fish'n in the summer & snow & ice sports in the winter.
I don't watch the show, but I'll be cheering for 'Baby'.
If she were any other unwed mother, cheated on by her live-in boyfriend, she would be working at the 7-11 and her Mother would be at home watching the baby!
I guess this is what a Mama Grizzlie does for her cubs?
Frankly, with the choices she has been making lately, I am surprized that Sarah didn’t do this show herself!
This family’s bad judgement is astounding!
Are they saying that Bristol is a “star”?! She is infamous for embarrassing her mother, the first female vice presidential candidate in the republican party. It is no mistake that they asked Bristol to do this right about the time of the elections...they are hoping to further smear the republican party by reminding the public of Palin’s “mattress dancing” ways.
I do not understand where good sense and propriety have gone. I guess they are up to the highest bidder....This family never ever understands the ill will that the vast majority of media has for them, and their desire to embarrass them. This girl needs to keep her head down, go to school, get a real job; and turn her life around. Grow up! Stop pimping her life out to gossip magazines and “celebrity shows” and be a person that will make her son proud.
So right.
Well Kurt Warner is not an 18 year old unwed Mother of a former VPOTUS candidate!
Hope his arm is strong enough to throw his partner through the goal posts and be there to receive her.
can’t imagine sarah would think this is a good idea.
Why should you "feel" anything "about this"? It is none of your, or anyone else's, business.
To 21 - *APPLAUSE*
No, she's making a living off her mommy's failed run for the vice-presidency.
This is not helpful if you are a Palin supporter. Maybe the younger generations see nothing wrong with an unwed, single mother dancing on television, but some of us old farts have problems with this. With 60 percent of the voters in this country believing that Palin is unqualified to be POTUS, this does nothing to help correct such a view. Remember, old people vote.
Is she going to try trade on celebrity the rest of her life? I am reminded of Ronald Reagan’s children.
I wish him and his family all the best.
Being from St. Louis we are proud of two of the most famous Christian sports figures EVER Kurt Warner and Albert Pujois!
The are true role models who worked hard for their achievements and give back to the community.
Something Bristol Palin doesn't have a clue about!
Yes, but my niece is a beautiful, young woman, who has had a child without being married, and no one asked her to be on the show....it isn’t about the baby; as most people understand it is about embarrassing the Republican party, and making McCain look like a putz for ever picking Sarah as his running mate.
Sarah doesn’t help matters when she quits the job that would actually give her experience and validation and becomes one of many side show freaks on TLC, then invites the tabloid queen; Kate Gosselin on the show! No one can take this family or the party that supports them seriously!
Their political views hold as much weight as the Gosselin family.
If she makes it to the viewer voting portion of the competition, my wife and I plan on calling in for her. The longer she is in the competition, the longer the mouth-foaming libtards will be having conniption fits.
Not true. She is trading on the fact that her mother is the hottest thing in politics right now.
