White House: It's 'all economy, all the time' for President Obama
The Hill ^ | September 4, 2010 | Sam Youngman

Posted on 09/04/2010 6:20:57 AM PDT by maggief

President Obama is turning his focus squarely toward the economy as the traditional campaign season begins.

Obama will travel to two battleground states next week to tout the economy, and also plans on introducing a package of new ideas to bolster a weak recovery that is hampering his party’s hopes for retaining the House and Senate.

“All economy all the time,” is how one White House official described the president's week ahead.

The president has offered no new details about his proposals, but they are expected to include business tax breaks that would serve as a nod to the GOP.

Republican aides on Friday said they would wait to see what Obama proposes before commenting.

“If it’s like everything else they’ve done, they’ll offer it in such a way that it’s impossible to support,” said one skeptical Republican Senate aide.

All economy all the time. Yeah, right after the beach, Camp David, ice cream, date night, concerts, golf, beer summits, redecorating the White House, more vacations, smoke breaks, and cheese burgers. Did I miss any downtime there?

All economy, all the time: Obama knows he only has two more years in which to completely destroy the remaining vestiges of America’s free enterprise system.

The devil is always in the details. I’m sure it will be all flowery on the surface but I’m sure the details of which won’t be open for review until we have to pass the bill before we can find out what’s in it.

I’m positive it will be filled with the 64 hoops one must jump through with each being just a bit higher than the one before but the brass ring will be in the hoop 2 miles high. So even if you are able to get the ring, the landing will kill you anyway.

I thought the White House was advising Democrats not to talk about the economy, since it’s a losing issue for them...

It has been all economy all of the time for this guy. Just not in the way the media wants to spin it. He’s focused like a laser on destroying our economy.

http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2010/09/president_obama_official_sched_408.html

Schedule for the Week of September 6, 2010

On Monday, the President will kick off Labor Day week with remarks at the Laborfest event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

On Tuesday, the President will welcome the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, to the White House.

On Wednesday, the President will travel to Cleveland, Ohio where he will make remarks to update the American people on the state of the economy, talk about the progress we have made, and discuss some targeted proposals to keep the economy growing including extending tax cuts for the middle class, and investing in the areas of our economy where the potential for job growth is greatest. It took years to create our economic problems, and it’ll take more time than any of us would like to fully repair the damage. There are no silver bullets and anyone who is promising them is not being straight with the American people. But there are some ideas that will help the economy and help American families that are hurting and those proposals will be a part of the President’s remarks. Speaking in the city where Minority Leader Boehner recently detailed the Republican economic agenda, the President will lay out the choice between his ideas and the failed policies and failed philosophy that led us into this mess.

On Thursday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.

On Friday, the President will hold a press conference at the White House.

Let's all remember this and never forget it:

Obama and his ilk are anti-capitalist, anti-constitutional, and most of all, anti-Idea Of America. These prix are just spewing garbage trying to lessen the blow for November.

It such as shinola worked for Bill Clinton! Obama is no Bill Clinton...

Larry Berman, a political science professor at the University of California-Davis, said that by pursuing policies that are more in line with what Republicans would prescribe for the ailing recovery, voters are seeing “Obama the pragmatist.”

Funny, all I see is Norma Desmond covered in flop sweat.

Guess he thought we were thrilled that he was taking all those vacations on our behalf and wouldn’t notice we were out of work.

Weren’t we told this a couple of times before? Maybe the Democrats should abandon their socialist utopias. That would help the economy.

Heck, it'd take months for them to plow through the list of respondents if they did that. :-)

"You mean he’s taking a break from vacation to actually do some work???? What a concept!"

Not really. He's headed to Camp David for the long weekend.

Isn't it reassuring to know that these morons are now scrambling to put together a plan B for the economy? Don't you usually have a plan B in place just in case the first one doesn't work? Makes you feel all warm, fuzzy, and secure about how these dopes would handle another 9/11 doesn't it?

“Obama focused like a frickin laser beam on economy.”

Let us be perfectly clear. Obama “VOWS, PLEDGES” to continue to be focused like a frickin laser beam on economy.........right after he gets back from his Camp David vacation.

One would think in this current political climate he would be a bit hesitant crowing about the roaring success of his Five Year Plan?

But I suppose it beats crowing about Obamacare. At least he can continue to blame Bush for it.
