Reporting from Washington A president governs in prose, but every now and then some poetry slips through.

Speaking in West Virginia after an explosion killed 29 coal miners, President Obama talked about the victims: "Most days they would emerge from the dark mine, squinting at the light. Most days, they would emerge, sweaty, dirty, dusted with coal. Most days, they would come home. Most days, but not that day."

If Obama was the answer-—that must have been one stupid question.

It’s all about the teleprompter. Barry and the LA Times believe that if only the teleprompter text is mawkish enough all of the countries ills will be healed and Barry’s popularity will skyrocket.

Bunch of delusional liberal KIDS who have not held a real and productive job in their lives are writing speeches full of empty rhetoric and totally detached from reality, all rainbow and unicorns, nothing real, nothing effective, nothing productive.

So which of the writers wrote Obama’s ‘shout out’ comments immediately after the military base shootings?

I wonder, what would Obama really sound like if he didn’t have writers. Bush’s speeches didn’t sound like someone nicer wrote them.

Frankel brushes off the critique. He describes an Obama speech as a reasoned argument that hangs together from start to finish. Points build on one another in logical sequence.

----------------------------

They don't call Zer0 Zer0 for nothing.

Obama delivers remarks-2sm

Barry: 'See, I ended the war, give me my due!'

What a P.O.S. PUTZ!

I wonder if he wrote the speech that Obama gave in Russia about meeting his wife, Michele, at college?

If Obama is so superior, so much smarter than anyone else, hes written 2 books, a so called college professor (lecturer) has won aNobel Peace prize —why does someone of his calibur need a speech writer. Obama is an imposter

The do not get the fact that is is not his speeches. It is Obamas actions and polices he advocates. We are not dumb and can read between the lines ad see what his polices really mean to us.

It really upsets me to see the refined and highly esoteric concept of “Kwisatz Haderach” merged into the pedestrian political Marxist hack that is The Usurper.

He who is the Nexus of all possible places at once has nothing in common with Nowhere Man.

When did our presidents stop speaking on their own? I get speechwriters for major events. Otherwise, it’d be nice to think the man elected to the highest office in the land could construct a statement to reflect his own thoughts and feelings.

When ‘the first thing we do’ is run to a speechwriter to craft a presidential comment, I think we’re all in trouble.

speeches that fail to inspire people to listen and act on what they hear.

It’s the actions that fail to inspire...
No amount of rhetorical polishing
can fix THAT.

“Who is listening to his speeches?”

The speechwriters are—to see if he pronounced the words right, so they know when to insert phonetic pronunciation guides in the next speech.

Or, more likely, to admire their handiwork and bask in the warm glow of reflected brilliance from Zero. Favreau is only a couple of years out of college—these guys have no real-world experience. They probably still think Zero is brilliant.

Obama’s strongest point is his speeches. Unfortunately for him, I and a lot of others do not think it is a very strong asset. The writing is terrible and his delivery stinks. That maddening slow motion tennis match thing he does with the prompters, the constant pointing with thumb and forefinger together, the tightening of the throat when he wants to sound emotional, and the otherwise Spock like put on professorial demeanor, make him amateur at best. I can’t believe, outside of the world of politics, that this guy could make a dime as an orator.

It doesn’t take much of a brain to write “I” and “me” dozens of times. When you write for an empty suit, you get empty words.

He doesn’t have any thoughts and feelings of his own!!
He repeats what someone else tells him. That’s why he comes across as not caring and insincere...because he doesn’t and he isn’t.

The reason these people think this is poetry is that they have never heard of or read Everitt Dirkson.

I agree. But thats exactly the way Obama is viewed by his minions.

My statements were made in complete satire of Obots, as I am sure you know.

Winston Churchill tells us how to fight fascism , through truth, exposure and ridicule.

Ridicule works.

Oh, I know you were kidding.

I just had to say something because “Dune” is one of my all-time-favorite Sci-Fi novels. At least through the third book.

After “Children” Herbert started becoming just plain bizarre and I suspect commercialized. He may well have been ridiculing his own fans, saying to himself “Just how much of this crap can I sell to these boobs?!?” - Come to think of it - not unlike The Usurper’s handlers.

I did think that it was a good juxtaposition of concept to think of the KW, the One who is Everywhere, in contrast to The Usurper as “Nowhere Man.”
