"I'm used to being a target," Edwards told The Associated Press.

Good. Enjoy your retirement.

All Democrats are anti-american enemies of the Constitution.

If Chet Edwards were to be re elected the very first vote he would cast would be for Nancy Pelosi as speaker.

What more does ANYONE need to know than that?

South Dakota Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin has been running ads trying to show she is in tune with voters in “fly over country” and showing her as a typical Mom of a 2 year old. This despite she hasn’t lived in this state for years, spent much of her career as a Washington DC lawyer and gets major campaign funding from Emily’s list and other liberal groups. Fortunately she is 10% behind in the polls with political new comer Kristi Noem who is a real South Dakotan.

I'm sickened by the hyperpartisanship.
Sure you are. And in your statement you give truth to the lie of "seeking bipartisanship". Just check out the many party line votes.

But I'm working hard at the grass-roots level, letting my independent voting record speak for itself. That's who I am, and that's who I always will be.
Who you are is a Democrat and that's what you'll always be.
Why didn't you run as an Independent? The Democrat campaign dollars that come your way?

A blue dog Democrat on a Pelosi leash is merely another Democrat son of a bitch

“Blue Dogs” got permission PERMISSION from Pelosi and Reid to vote AGAINST certain bills and have been given PERMMISSION to campaign AGAINST their and Obama’s disastrous agenda. After the election they will be back in the socialist sty.

We must not give these snakes PERMMISSION to be elected!

Blue Dogs are especially on the chopping block. Blue Dogs come, by and large, from conservative districts and they present themselves to the electorate as conservative. Once they get to Washington, they behave as anything but. They vote as the leadership wants them to. When they vote against the Democrat leadership and with their constituents, its because Pelosi doesn’t need that vote and allows the Blue Dog to deceive the folks back home.

Many, many Blue Dogs will be gone in November. Unfortunately, Ike Skelton will probably survive and he will continue to vote a very liberal line which is the price of his committee chairmanship. He’s happy to pay that price.

They should be on the chopping block.

How many times can the ‘Blue Dogs’ fool their voters? They are the 2nd string backups on the Socialist team. to be a Democrat of any kind is aiding and abetting the enemy.

I’m getting concerned that democrats and their media rump-swabs are hyping their underdog status a little too much.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see them trying to raise an unrealistic level of expectation for democrat losses. Then, when the losses aren’t quite as bad as their hype, they can spin it that they beat expectations, that the public isn’t nearly upset as pre-election predictions, etc., etc.

Remember, democrats never stop trying to spin, twist, obfuscate, stack the deck and, in the end, lie cheat and steal.

acing what could be their most difficult races: Missouri's 17-term Rep. Ike Skelton, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, and South Carolina's 14-term Rep. John Spratt, chairman of the House Budget Committee.

This in itself screams "TERM LIMITS"!

"Missouri's 17-term Rep. Ike Skelton, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, and South Carolina's 14-term Rep. John Spratt, chairman of the House Budget Committee."

These are just two examples of practically life time politicians who feel entitled & act like we work for them, instead of them working for us & our country.

That goes for both democrats & republicans like John McCain.

I'd honestly rather see AZ vote for a democrat who is more conservative than McCain - if there are actually any left in this world.

The sewer in Washinton needs to be flushed out & new people need to be running our government. We don't need term limits - we need smarter voters.

Even Democrats who, like Edwards, voted against the health care and climate change bills

Because his vote wasn't needed. If it had been needed, you can bet he would have done as told.

Blue Dogs?? You mean those famous “conservative” democrats who voted FOR HusseinCare??!! Democrats in the house and senate are either left or extremely left. Period. Conservative does not exist.

"I'm used to being a target," Edwards told The Associated Press.

GAWD!!! this FAKE conservative POS has been sucking on the government tit for so long and is NOT doing anything other than faking he's conservative and then going to Washington to bend over and take it from Nancy Pelosi.

His first vote this term was to HOLD funding for the troops in Iraq cause he wanted to stick it to Bush and do what San Fran Nancy told him to do.

It is amazing to me that Chet Edwards continues to be re-elected in what on a map appears to be one of the most conservative parts of the state. If he wants his job, he should consider switching parties to keep his “conservative” credentials.

Good news - I saw a poll where Flores is leading Edwards 53-41%. Sad that it is that close as McLame even got 67% of the vote.
