America First Tax Exempt Investors LP said Thursday it has received $95.8 million in financing through Freddie Mac and used it to pay off a secured term loan with Bank of America.

The company, which buys and sells federally tax-exempt mortgage revenue bonds used to fund apartment construction, said it used $49.5 million of the funds to pay off the outstanding balance of the Bank of America loan.

America First obtained the financing through Freddie Mac's Tax-Exempt Bond Securitization program.

Once again, Freddie Mac (using your tax dollars) is keeping the cycle of the failures of liberalism alive. To spin their "we make home possible" tag- Freddie Mac Makes Liberalism Possible.

They took a loan with better terms to pay off another loan? Isn't this done all the time?

Not sure what that has to do with liberalism. It's more of a indictment of the corrupt financial system the Fed and the federal govt. have become over the last two decades.

It would be fine if this were private enterprise and private money, but this is taxpayer funds being channeled through the bank. It really isn’t a loan from a bank, it is a backdoor TARP.

“Private enterprise” unfortunately has enabled multiculturalism, diversity and the loss of American identity and culture. I can’t read half of the signs in Walmart anymore.

Private enterprise reacts to the market it has to work in, it can’t be blamed for that. They have to find a way to sell to the customers out there. You wouldn’t want the alternative, collectevist enterprise, would you?
