I’ve seen the American flag set on fire so much in the Middle East it’s damn near a night time ritual on cable television. Heck, they have cigarette lighters in the likeness of the Twin Towers in Iran and the West Bank. I take it all for a protest against US policy, assume the guys doing this doltish stuff are idiots, and I go to bed.
Now, the table is turned. A wacky dude in our country wants to burn the Koran. Well, it is his right and his point is valid: He wants to prove that not everyone needs to live in fear of radical Islam. They aren’t god and not every single person is gonna join up with their brand of religion. Sounds legit. Lord knows the cartoon people and the South Park folks don’t have the balls to make their similar points.
Haven’t we been getting lectured about how the Muslims have the right to build the Mosque near Ground Zero? Seriously, if the wacky dude and some of his buds want to burn the Koran, so what? It’s a book. There are millions of copies of it. It’s a traditional form of protest. No one in this world has a right not to be offended. So, burn the Silly Koran in Florida. This is America!!

Well said. I know this Koran burning will stir up the mud. On the other hand, it will also serve to demonstrate just how intolerant the Muslim religion is for alternate view points and freedom of speech. To be fair: I question the Pastors wisdom on this but, I do not questions his balls. To borrow some vernacular from the left, “It’s a ‘teachable moment!’

FL is a right to carry state. I don’t think the panthers will be any problem.
And the liberals are outraged at this Koran burning. They are outraged about the inflammatory nature of this, and how it will provoke reactions in the Muslim world, etc. They say that while this church has the right to burn a Koran, that they shouldn’t, out of respect for the religion of Islam.
That’s the liberal view of burning a Koran. These are the same arguments that we have heard in the Mosque at Ground Zero controversy. But in that case, the liberals are on the other side of the issue of showing respect and having a right to do something, but deciding not to so as not to provoke reactions.
I will never understand the liberal mindset. It’s almost as if whatever a Christian is doing is wrong, and whatever a Muslim is doing is right, in their view.
All this does is make me want to burn a Koran. Anything that ticks off the militant fascists is fine with me.

If they want to demonstrate that’s one thing, but to actually enter someone else’s place of worship and upset folk that’s another.
I personally don’t agress with the Koran burning but nobody is forcing their way into a mosque during prayers and doing this. It seems Christians don’t get the same deal.
Great idea. I think I'll fire up the old Chimera, and video burning the Koran for prosperity. If I can find one cheap. Maybe I'll do like you and just print one of the offensive parts of it in large typeface so that there's no mistaking what I am burning.

They may call themselves the NBPP but they are black muslims. Gotta laugh at the way muzzies are able to lead blacks around by the nose even though the islamic countries are the only ones that still practice slavery and were also the ones who sold blacks to the white slave traders back in the day.
I realize that basing ones political beliefs on facts would be “acting white” but these people are total fools.
