And Cheney was right. If we had kept Syria and Iran in line, there wouldn’t have been so many terrorists supported by those regimes coming in to Iraq to kill our soldiers.

Well, they did remake the Mideast. Obama didn’t learn that lesson and is still trying to play the old and anachronistic game of pre 9/11

When he captured Baghdad, Tommy Franks became a general of historical proportions because that action changed the course of history.

There is still time to take out Iran, after which Syria will disintegrate. The allies of the Gulf/Israel coalition will do the heavy lifting.

"No ifs, no buts, no maybes. We're coming after you so change or be changed."

Kinda has a nice ring to it.

The younger people of Iran want more freedom. If and we hope WHEN they can overthrow the clerics they will not be as willing or ready to send large amounts of money to other countries. With a slight nudge and positive support from the outside world, Iran has a very good chance of falling from within but first we need a REAL President with REAL b-lls to lead the way and stop kissing Muzzie ass-s!

"He was for hard, hard power," he wrote. "No ifs, no buts, no maybes. We're coming after you so change or be changed."

And Cheney was absolutely right! Too bad that Bush didn't listen to him.

Cheney would have made the best president since Reagan, bar none.

Or supporting the Taliban to kill us in Afghanistan.

Cheney Chick, here! He’s a man’s man, and that’s the appeal! He calls it as he sees it, and he has the testosterone to say it. It would be a better world if he had been president at any point in time.

Cheney "would have worked through the whole lot, Iraq, Syria, Iran, dealing with all their surrogates in the course of it -- Hezbollah, Hamas, etc.,"

That would have led to the eternally-elusive "peace in the Middle East". What a missed opportunity.

Now it's back to the fraud of endless "peace talks" that only appease and strengthen our Muslim enemies.

God bless you and keep you safe and healthy, Richard Cheney. Americans who can reason still love you.

The wrong guy was at the top of the GOP ticket in 2000, and that should be clearly evident to anyone with a room temperature IQ.

President Dick Cheney would have kept the White House (and probably the Congress too) in GOP hands, and the Usurper from Kenya might still be a state Senator in the Land o’ Lincoln.

Yes but look at it this way. Many of the radical Muslims died for Allah in Iraq. And the young people in Iran are (relatively) liberal. It’s only a matter of time before everyone behind the ‘79 Revolution would die. Once that happens, Iran will become one of the most free and secular countries in the Middle East, almost like Turkey although they’re becoming more Islamist recently.

Hard to say if Cheney with his health history would have been electable - the media would have pounded that message daily & put a lot of doubt in peoples’ minds

Onme of the reasons I suported invading Iraq was the real estate dictum, “Location. Location, Location”. Figured, turn left, take out Syria, Hamas, Hezbollah. Turn right, and send all the mullahs off to meet the hidden Imam.

Cheney was right on the money.
