I hadn’t realized they were planning on burning 3,000 muslims as well as however many korans.

As all of us recall Salmon Rushdie has a fatwah out on his bald head. Moslems have been directed to MURDER HIM and BURN HIS BOOKS.
Islam is very accepting of bookburning you know.
The idea that cutting off the heads of those who disagree with you is OK is widespread in Islamic countries,
All Salmon did was write a book that turns all of Mohammad's wives into prostitutes ~ really got them POd.

Actually the confiscation and burning of Bibles in Afghanistan occurred while Bush was still in office.

They think burning a handful of paper is equivalent to over 3,000 dead Americans and millions of dollars in property damage?
These people are disgusting.

Id say the same as Ground Zero mosque.I'd agree. Burning the Koran, to the muslums, is equal to a victory monument at the 9/11 site to Americans.
In the name of peace, nix both the victory tower and the burning. That way, no one gets offended.

Crowley's statement might end up on a list of “The Most Stupid Statements.” It should lead to a resignation. Hillary also has been making perverted statements. Yet I seen no demands for resignation similar to those when somebody says merely a word not approved by the Thought Police.

Obama defends the right of someone to build a mosque at ground zero, although he will not comment on the wisdom of doing so, but gets all wee wee’d up when someone wants to burn a koran.
I can’t not believe 1 in 4 people suspect him of being a muslim. /sarc
In a related news, for the 2nd year in a row, Obama has decided not to attend the 9/11 ceremony in NY.

...when the hell is the GOP going to go after this radical justice, state homeland depts?Sarah Palin is the only one left with the tenacity to do anything. The GOP will hopefully find its lost backbone.

And there are plenty more in this administration.

That’s a great idea!
They really should roast a pig on top of it, let all the fat juices feed the fire.

Burning the Qoran could only be the equivalent of the attack of 9/11 if it actually caused the death of 3,000 INNOCENT people. It will do no such thing, and in fact will serve to anger America's enemies (including the left, apparently) which is fine with me.

The Quran promotes inequality against women; beating and stoning them for insubordination, or adultery. A woman's testimony is only worth half of that of a man. The Quran also condones lying (Takkia), murder of non-muslims, forcing the non-muslim into ‘dhimmitude’, and taxing them with a ‘jizra’ tax. The Quran condones pedophilia with little girls, stoning rape victims, honor killings, etc, etc, etc. Would anyone be offended at burning a book called the “Book of Satan”?

The Pastor in Florida is Burning our Presidents book of Faith. Our Government is getting all wee weed up. How tragic.
Will Holder now go to Florida with tanks and guns, like he did at Waco?

From personal experience burning reams of defective, classified forms, I can testify it is surprisingly difficult to burn tightly packed sheets of paper (as in a book). Probably one of the best aids to complete combustion is a high volume source of high velocity
airflow. A leaf blower works nicely -- as does the exhaust (blower) output from a big ShopVac.
Directed properly, the airstream/book combo produces a fire capable of heating steel to forging temperaures...
Trying to burn books without sufficient airflow produces nothing but a smoky mess and frustration.
OTOH, the bacon and bratwurst are nice (albeit inedible) touches...
