Exactly, we cannot forget the other issues. BUT there is no need for the GOP to be saying these things at all.

“But if somebody goes to campaign for governor candidate x, I would hope that somebody would stay focused on the issues that matter to the campaign: jobs, the economy, taxes, spending, debt, deficits,” Barbour continued. “You run down rabbit trails, you're wasting— you're using up valuable resources that could be used to talk to people about what they care about.”

LOL. Where do I start? Let's ditch talking about immigration. Let's ditch talking about the environmental nazis. Let's ditch talking about those dreaded social issues. Everyone knows that people don't care about those! /s

The phony talking points put out by RINOS, to only talk about the economy and jobs, jobs, jobs, are a loser. The reason the economy is in the crapper is because the Government has put their meddling fingers where they don't belong!

and that is how the left has been doing it since 1964.

I hear you, but have to respectfully disagree. The libs would never say let's take this issue or that off the table. Neither would a smart conservative. The best strategy at this stage of the game is to hash out among ourselves what issues SHOULD be front and center, rather than risk alienating a solid chunk of the GOP by appearing to flip them off. Haley et al. would also do well to remember the 2004 exit polls, which indicated that social conservatives put Dubya back in office. It wasn't that long ago!
