If Harry Reid were a cat, he’d be on his 15th life. The former boxer was first elected statewide as lieutenant governor in 1974. Four years later he lost a close race to succeed conservative Democrat Alan Bible to Paul Laxalt by 600 votes. This is normally the end of a political career, but for Reid it was only the beginning. He became gaming commissioner and nearly lost his life in a literal sense when a mobster attempted to blow up his car. Reid won a congressional seat in 1982 and was elevated to the Senate in 1986 when Laxalt retired. Reid drew weak opponents in 1992 and 2004, and won by only 400 votes in 1998 (against current Senator John Ensign). By all accounts, Reid should be a dead politician walking. His approval ratings dropped alongside the Vegas housing market, and he polled below 40 percent in some polls. But Republicans had a weak field of candidates challenging Reid, and former Assemblywoman Sharron Angle was their eventual choice. Angle has proved to be a chronically gaffe-prone candidate, who is running as a proud Christian conservative in Sin City. Complicating matters for Angle, the state allows voters to select “none of these candidates,” which could split the anti-Reid vote. This could be a missed opportunity for Republicans.

Guess it is your job (and others) in the field to do the work to that will allow her to win, becuase the only thing I can do out here in Indiana is to give dollars..

With all the money Reid has he can easily afford to definer her as anything he wants. She certainty has more then enough small government positions for Read to uses the classic leftist taking candy from a baby fear tactic.
Angle can only counter Reid’s propaganda probably at a 10 to 1 disadvantage.
Reid can afford a massive team that can go thou the compete record to find things Angle said long ago in obscure context splice them together to create contradictions and so forth. Never-mind that she might have changed her mind and forgotten, and also never-mind the fact that you can do exactly the same thing with Reid.
Reid thanks to its government position of power and corrupt selling of that power has all the money to do this.
Money matters, and I’m afraid Reid has made so much money by betraying Nevada that he can afford to help buy his own reelection.
This was always going to be a hard to near impossible fight. But such is the nature of the corruption of power and money.

I have said this before. IMO, Angle’s ads have been suck (with the exception of the funny last one). They only attack Reid without really provide reasons why people should vote for her. Reid & Co. have portrayed her as ‘extreme’, and it seems to be working. Instead of keep telling people how bad Reid is (which most already know), why doesn’t she make uplifting, positive ads that make people feel good for voting for her.
Heard that before....she needs to market herself better. Still lots of time but she needs to move on it!

Did she go saying something racist about 0bama’s “Negro dialect” or something equally stupid that is sure to end her political career?
And where is Ensign, by the way? Shouldn’t he be stumping for Angle?
She will start pulling ahead by Oct and win a close election in Nov.

Reid was a legitimate amateur boxer. Trouble is, he also apparently hung around some boxers up at the Mustang Ranch brothel with mob-pimp Joe Conforte who bribed him.
