China's top-ranking UN diplomat embarked on a drunken rant against the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, telling his boss he'd "never liked" him, and adding for good measure that he didn't like Americans either.

The outburst by Sha Zukang at a retreat for top UN officials in the Austrian ski resort of Alpbach left senior UN officials cringing in embarrassment as others tried to convince him to put down the microphone, according to Washington-based Foreign Policy magazine.

"I know you never liked me Mr. Secretary-General – well, I never liked you, either," said Mr Sha as Mr Ban looked on, smiling and nodding awkwardly during the 15-minute toast attended by the UN's top brass.

I agree, the poor man has a couple of drinks and speaks his mind. Americans are pigs, why won't we open our borders to the Chinese? There are a least 200 million fetching Chinese girls who would like to have an anchor baby in the US!
But no way the BushHitler Republicans let those girls come here for free hospital births.

Mr Ban looked on, smiling and nodding

As he was inventing, in his mind, a new and improved Chinese torture test for Mr. Zukang.

First class, limos, lux suites, booze, fine meals.....you know to help starving peons, somewhere....in the future. Honest.

( After the Tutsi whacked the Hutus, or vis a versa, I forget, the Swiss based, UN connected World Health Organization did a half million dollar Buckle Up campaign for Rwandan drivers. )

I think you’re right. If he were a Confucian philosopher drinking wine with his friends and watching the moon rise, before setting out to assume the magistracy of a new town, he’d be fine. But Communist Apparatchiks aren’t supposed to embarrass their bosses.
