!!!DON'T BURN THAT KORAN!!!
09-09-10 | Me

Posted on 09/09/2010 8:47:15 AM PDT by dps.inspect

In a loud voice, looney-toons style, "DON'T BURN THAT KORAN... THER'LL BE HELL TO PAY!" Oh really... some thoughts on that...

When the senator from Utah proclaimed, "This war is lost", did any military general spout off, "hey this kind of talk could get our soldiers killed"?

When John Kerry claimed "our soldiers were terrorizing women and children in the dead of night", did any military spokesman speak with any concern, that this kind of talk may increase the dangers for our military.

When John Mertha said our marines murdered in cold blood, did any military brass denounce his claim as hurtful to our military effort.

The answer of course is HELL NO!

May I suggest to you that burning the Koran will do two things. First, it will show that the left, and increasingly, many on the right, are not as into free speech as they proclaim. What ever happened to that wonderful, daringly brave saying, "I may not agree with what you're saying, but I'll defend to the death, your right to say it" well, maybe not so much, "not when death is on the line" (to borrow a phrase from the Prince's Bride).

Two, it will prove that terrorism has had its desired effect. Islam is now officially a state protected religion. No other religion has ever enjoyed such sway over any human society, (I could be wrong historically, but not currently). What the hell... I want some of that... As a christian, I get no respect, none from the left, not much from the right, and down right hostility from everywhere else. Why? Because I'm not out there cutting off heads, blowing up buildings, or otherwise killing by whatever means will instill the greatest terror.

Do I think that the burning of the Koran is an efficacious way of combating an enemy, hell bent on our destruction... I dunno, I'm beginning to wonder. When I first heard of it, I thought, that's stupid. Nevertheless, I have also thought, at some points in the past, that I might like to burn a Koran, if for no other reason than to say, "I will not fear you and you will not creep my world". Maybe, it has more to do with individual courageousness than anything else.

I don't know pastor Jones, he doesn't look all that intelligent, and I'd probably never attend his church... but after all the attention he is getting, being goaded by David P., Hannity, and the President (there he goes again), I say, go ahead, burn that damn book. It's your right! If soldiers can fight and die while our politicians enjoy the right to impugn them and their actions, then surely, by all rights, this man's action is no less a protected right... and I'll bet many in the military (particularly of the enlisted ranks) are proud to fight for this man's rights. " I may not agree with what you say..." BS. God Bless and Protect You Pastor... We may not wish to have been dragged into this, but now that its upon us, I'm standing with this pastor.

*Do Not Taunt Happy Fun Ball!*

Do not expose radical muslims to light...

Do not allow radical muslims on concrete.

Discontinue use of Islam if any of the following occurs:
itching
vertigo
dizziness
tingling in extremities
loss of balance or coordination
slurred speech
temporary blindness
profuse sweating
or heart palpitations
desire to commit honor murders
bombing of 3000 innocence people.

“secret ceremonies”!

I would hardly describe church gatherings as “secret ceremonies” no more than I describe a church marshmallow roast as a “secret” ceremony.

I see, I see. I’m still working on that first cup of coffee. Should be kicking in any minute now.

Cheers!

Do you sincerely believe that this action is something that God would lead a pastor to do to comply with the great commission? Bear in in mind that if Rev. Dimwit burns the korans in this country, muslims are likely to burn your fellow Christians (again) in their countries.

Let's have a pop-quiz: If this church burns korans, and the Muzzies kill Christians in retribution, who's fault is that? The church in Florida? Or the Muzzies doing the killing?

According to our General in Afghan, and you, it would not be the Muzzies fault, it would be the pastor in Florida's fault. 9/11/01 was our fault after all. The terrorists have indeed won, and in less than a decade.

The burning moved into the political realm a long time ago.

Muslims have been burning, beheading, and generally killing Christians for no reason other than the fact that they are Christians for over a thousand years. You can hardly make the claim that this action will insight violence.

To be a committed Muslim is to be violent.

“Instead, put it in a jar of urine and demand federal funding.”

Actually, that sounds like a better idea. Book burning has a (deservedly) bad rap.

In fact, it would be interesting to see a side-by-side photographic display of blasphemous Christian ‘art’ (piss Christ, dung Madonna, etc. etc.) with comparable pieces of ‘art’ that blasphemes Islam. Piss Koran, dung Mohammad, etc. etc. Clearly, that would be “art”, and we all know that “art” is sacrosanct (irony intended).

Yes, and the pastor made sure of that.

I'm starting to agree, too - "I will not fear you and you will not creep my world"!

Did you know that you can usually receive a free copy from the Saudi Embassy? Maybe they won’t do it any more, but they used to.

As low as Muzzies are, they are above the level of insects (although it is tempting to make the comparison). It’s a poor-fitting analogy. Try another one to explain how you are willing to relieve Muzzies of the responsibilities of their murderous sprees....

If constitutional freedom means anything, it means Americans will not be forced by traitors in our own country to submit to the theats of jihadists - be they muslims or NWO fascists. They do not own us and we come from a long line of people who put it on all the line to protect and assert constitutional freedom.

I was shocked to read today that our Military burned bibles that the Muslims insisted be removed from our troops in their countries. Seems like our Military would have at least put them into a container and taken them somewhere else.

Those bibles weren’t burned as a protest to Christianity, and I think the Florida guy’s burning of the Koran is not a generic protest to Islam, but rather is a provocation and a counterbalance to the Muslim’s offensive campaign to put a Mosque at the 911 site.

The FR poster is correct that Christianity is scorned by many vocal public figures in America. Someone should burn some bibles just to see what outrage it generated.

The Lame stream Media and freaked out dem’s in governement are giving this Koran Burning so much attention it’s whacked out insanity!

ISLAM has Liberals in a CHoke hold! Oh! and Hollywood as well...

The Movie 2012 would not sow destruction in Mecca because Muslims would Jihad on you!

Cartoon depicting Prophet Mohammed was removed because Muslims will Jihad on you!

Burn Korans..More Jihad on infidels

Don’t build the Mosqu’e at Ground Zero

Big Jihad on you...

How RIDICULOUS!

Might as well burn American Flags, Holy Bibles, de-fame Jews, Christians, and Jesus Christ since they won’t cut your head off, nor blow up your house and city or riot in the streets......

I am a Christian but I remember the day that when someone said they were going to do something to harm you and the American Way was: REALLY> *Mess with my Family, Country and Faith* *I will kick your ever lovin A** from here to eternity....

I guess WOOSES now are in charge
Shameful....

Did you ever see this story from 4-months after 9/11:

Unsolicited Packages From Saudi Embassy Trigger Scare in Vegas
January 21, 2002

LAS VEGAS — A Saudi Arabian mailer designed to educate American schoolchildren about Islam instead triggered terrorist scares at three Las Vegas schools, officials said Friday.

A Saudi embassy official in Washington said the packages containing a videotape, a booklet and a book were sent to 5,000 randomly selected schools nationwide to promote tolerance and understanding.

“We just hoped the schools would consider showing them to their students,” said Sherry Cooper, secretary to Saudi Ambassador Prince Bandar bin Sultan in Washington, D.C. (snip)
