Afghans protest Quran burning plan, torch US flag

KABUL, Afghanistan – Hundreds of angry Afghans burned a U.S. flag and chanted "Death to the Christians" on Thursday to protest plans by a small American church to torch copies of the Muslim holy book on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

Religious and political leaders across the Muslim world, as well as several U.S. officials, have asked the church to call off the plan, warning it would lead to violence against Americans. Iraq, worried that it will unleash a backlash against all Christians, has beefed up security near churches.

There we go, not just a religion of peace but a bunch of people who truly believe in fairness-- They have the right to burn our stuff and we don't have a right to burn theirs.

You know in the old America if they had threatened to kill our troups over a koran burning we would have replied "for every one you kill of us you kill we will kill a hundred of you."

Washington DC - The Saudi government burns and desecrates hundreds of bibles its security forces confiscate after raids on Christian expatriates worshiping privately or at border crossings.
As a matter of official policy, the government either incinerates or dumps bibles, crosses and other Christian paraphernalia.

Hundreds of Christian worshipers are arrested every year by Saudi police in raids on their private gatherings. Bibles, crosses and printed materials are confiscated and later burnt or dumped into trash. Bibles and other Christian paraphernalia found with travelers into the country are confiscated and destroyed.

Although considered as holy in Islam and mentioned in the Koran dozens of times, the Bible is banned in Saudi Arabia, and is confiscated and destroyed by government officials.

Eventually Americans will get fed up with being pushed around and collectively we will lose out temper. ( Bush was very restrained in his 9/11 response. If he had nuked Kabul on 9/12 very few Americans would have been upset.) And we never saw what happened to the hundreds who jumped from the towers. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, when America loses it's morals thanks to the progressives, the world will see a death machine rolling over them that will make the Nazi's and Communists look like pikers. I can see the progressive greens eliminating 90% of the worlds population to create an environmental utopia. If we wanted to eliminate Bin laden and the Taliban we could, as long as we didn't care about "collateral damage". So Afghani's - burn our flag, and eventually the America you hate will go away...
