The Eternal Flame of Muslim Outrage
Human Events ^ | 09/10/10 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on 09/10/2010 12:30:36 AM PDT by American Dream 246

Shhhhhhh, we're told. Don't protest the Ground Zero mosque. Don't burn a Koran. It'll imperil the troops. It'll inflame tensions. The "Muslim world" will "explode" if it does not get its way, warns sharia-peddling imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. Pardon my national security-threatening impudence, but when is the "Muslim world" not ready to "explode"?

At the risk of provoking the ever-volatile Religion of Perpetual Outrage, let us count the little-noticed and forgotten ways.

Just a few months ago in Kashmir, faithful Muslims rioted over what they thought was a mosque depicted on underwear sold by street vendors. The mob shut down businesses and clashed with police over the blasphemous skivvies. But it turned out there was no need for Allah's avengers to get their holy knickers in a bunch. The alleged mosque was actually a building resembling London's St. Paul's Cathedral. A Kashmiri law enforcement official later concluded the protests were "premeditated and organized to vitiate the atmosphere."

Indeed, art and graphics have an uncanny way of vitiating the Muslim world's atmosphere. In 1994, Muslims threatened German supermodel Claudia Schiffer with death after she wore a Karl Lagerfeld-designed dress printed with a saying from the Koran. In 1997, outraged Muslims forced Nike to recall 800,000 shoes because they claimed the company's "Air" logo looked like the Arabic script for "Allah." In 1998, another conflagration spread over Unilever's ice cream logo -- which Muslims claimed looked like "Allah" if read upside-down and backward (can't recall what they said it resembled if you viewed it with 3D glasses).

Even more explosively, in 2002, an al-Qaida-linked jihadist cell plotted to blow up Bologna, Italy's Church of San Petronio because it displayed a 15th century fresco depicting Mohammed being tormented in the ninth circle of Hell. For years, Muslims had demanded that the art come down. Counterterrorism officials in Europe caught the would-be bombers on tape scouting out the church and exclaiming, "May Allah bring it all down. It will all come down."

That same year, Nigerian Muslims stabbed, bludgeoned or burned to death 200 people in protest of the Miss World beauty pageant -- which they considered an affront to Allah. Contest organizers fled out of fear of inflaming further destruction. When Nigerian journalist Isioma Daniel joked that Mohammed would have approved of the pageant and that "in all honesty, he would probably have chosen a wife from among them," her newspaper rushed to print three retractions and apologies in a row. It didn't stop Muslim vigilantes from torching the newspaper's offices. A fatwa was issued on Daniel's life by a Nigerian official in the sharia-ruled state of Zamfara, who declared that "the blood of Isioma Daniel can be shed. It is abiding on all Muslims wherever they are to consider the killing of the writer as a religious duty." Daniel fled to Norway.

In 2005, British Muslims got all hot and bothered over a Burger King ice cream cone container whose swirly-texted label resembled, you guessed it, the Arabic script for "Allah." The restaurant chain yanked the product in a panic and prostrated itself before the Muslim world. But the fast-food dessert had already become a handy radical Islamic recruiting tool. Rashad Akhtar, a young British Muslim, told Harper's Magazine how the ice cream caper had inspired him: "Even though it means nothing to some people and may mean nothing to some Muslims in this country, this is my jihad. I'm not going to rest until I find the person who is responsible. I'm going to bring this country down."

In 2007, Muslims combusted again in Sudan after an infidel elementary school teacher innocently named a classroom teddy bear "Mohammed." Protesters chanted, "Kill her, kill her by firing squad!" and "No tolerance -- execution!" She was arrested, jailed and faced 40 lashes for blasphemy before being freed after eight days. Not wanting to cause further inflammation, the teacher rushed to apologize: "I have great respect for the Islamic religion and would not knowingly offend anyone, and I am sorry if I caused any distress."

And who could forget the global Danish cartoon riots of 2006 (instigated by imams who toured Egypt stoking hysteria with faked anti-Islam comic strips)? From Afghanistan to Egypt to Lebanon to Libya, Pakistan, Turkey and in between, hundreds died under the pretext of protecting Mohammed from Western slight, and brave journalists who stood up to the madness were threatened with beheading. It wasn't really about the cartoons at all, of course. Little-remembered is the fact that Muslim bullies were attempting to pressure Denmark over the International Atomic Energy Agency's decision to report Iran to the UN Security Council for continuing with its nuclear research program. The chairmanship of the council was passing to Denmark at the time. Yes, it was just another in a long line of manufactured Muslim explosions that were, to borrow a useful phrase, "premeditated and organized to vitiate the atmosphere."

When everything from sneakers to stuffed animals to comics to frescos to beauty queens to fast-food packaging to undies serves as dry tinder for Allah's avengers, it's a grand farce to feign concern about the recruitment effect of a few burnt Korans in the hands of a two-bit attention-seeker in Florida. The eternal flame of Muslim outrage was lit a long, long time ago.

He would only be spreading the Koran but everyone else would be destroying it.

With Muslims putting us on notice this week that they will resort to violence unless we infringe on the civil rights of the koran burners and allow their victory mosque to be built at Ground Zero, its enough to make me want to punch a Muslim. When slum lord imam allows himself to be the messenger of the Muslim threat of violence, at that point he becomes an Islamist enemy and should be treated as such.

Don't you get it? Those riotters--all ten zillion of them--are ALL just fringe elements like the hijackers, and those pouring into Iraq, and those no doubt helping hide Bin Ladin. You can't judge Islam by that!

In all seriousness, we're only allowed to judge Islam by those Chris Matthews SAYS we're allowed to judge Islam by. He's like the Wizard, "Pay no attention to those Muslims burning the flag!"

Exactly. If Islam is such a peaceful cult then why do so many go out of their way not to offend them?

Could it be that they're not exactly the flower carrying Hare Krishnas...

...that our government and state run media try to portray them as?

The 'moderate' Muslims find the radical fringe (fringe? more like radical MASS) Muslims a handy tool to use to get the attention and compliance of useful idiots.

Each victory only invites more radical and violent behavior, while our 'leaders' wring their hands, or chastise the insensitive, loutish, uneducated U.S. masses for not kowtowing to Muslim threats willingly.

Burn a Koran? Get thinly-veiled threats and a riot, and the 'elite' falling all over themselves to get the U.S. public in line.

Burn a U.S. soldier? Get a promise to pull out as soon as possible.

Something seems wrong with that.

It is this ability for Imams to turn on and off the rage of their followers to threaten and intimidate that should be setting off alarm bells across this once great country.

So long as the US (and the world) refuses to address the real issue, that of the nature of this religion as defined by the Koran and practiced by its leaders, we are doomed to failure and ultimate subjugation... which is, of course, the goal of Islam.

Let’s not be fooled by Muslims who would label themselves as moderates. There are no moderate Muslims as defined by the Koran. Those who label themselves this way are practicing deception (approved by the Koran) as is the MSM who refuses to expose it.

Where in the Arab/Islamic world is moderation preached or practiced? What is moderate about Sharia law? Beheading? Stoning? Beating women?

Where is there any room in the US Constitution for Sharia law as the GZ mosque imam states and no one has challenged?

Where are there outreach programs for Christians and Jews in Iraq or Iran or Afghanistan or Pakistan or Saudi Arabia or Egypt or Chechnya or whereever there’s a Muslim majority? SHow me one 9/11 monument to the innocents who were killed that day in the name of Allah?

I have an idea. Let’s build this Islamic Activity Center in Mecca and then invite all non-Muslims to visit. Now that would be outreach.

It’s very weird. I’m not in favor of the Koran-burning stunt, but that’s because I agree with Ann Coulter: it’s perfectly legitimate, it’s no more provocative than their plan for the Ground Zero mosque, but it’s unkind, as she put it, and we shouldn’t stoop to their level.

However, I have been upset by the cowering reaction of everybody, from our (Muslim) president to our defense and military figures to, of course, the idiot press.

Muslims are violent and vicious and full of anger all the time, and whether this guy burns the Koran or not, they are still going to riot and try to kill us one way or another. Heck, even if the entire world were Muslim, they’d be rioting and trying to kill each other, as in fact they already do in their home countries. It’s a cult based on violence, anger, resentment and a lust for domination, and no amount of placation and groveling is going to soothe them.

Yet I read that churches and synagogues plan to read from the Koran this weekend in order to make Muslims feel better. One of the things I feared was that this would be the result of this pastor’s action, that the Muslims would use it to gain sympathy for themselves and what they can’t achieve through violence, immediately, they will achieve through making themselves look like victims.

We will bend over backwards to accomodate them and basically that means giving up. Stock up on bacon, it probably won’t be around much longer...

That is the reason that many countries in Europe regret allowing so many muzzies into their countries.

They contribute very little, reproduce, inbreed too much, and cause unwanted violence. They always refuse to become members of any society. Instead they want to impose their barbaric behavior onto others.

Work? They don’t have time between all the displays of outrage and bowing to Allah all day.

I am sick sick sick of these people...Ozero included with his “make 9/11 muslim outreach day”. IMO we should take the iman’s pic and his wife Daisy (photo-shopped in daisy duke shorts) captioned respectively a-hole and c-word (as I lady, I hate that word...but sometimes it is only one that will do). These pics should then be posted on every stationary object in Manhattan. Every time the iman or his wife step outside their door, they should realize how much the are hated and feel raw fear for what might happen next.

As long as the ever apologizing, ice cream sucking, weenie in chief keeps leading the conga line of appeasers, the longer the muslims will keep demanding concessions. Many Americans would be glad to have a job at Disney with great benefits and steady work... but not that lady who demands her religious rights. This needs to be stopped right now. Muslims are not special. They can be American if they want, but no extra helpings at the “rights” bar are coming to them.

Sorry for the vitriol. I am not usually like this. But 9/11 makes me want to do things that would only get me arrested.

That reminds me of the Iraqi war cartoon I saw once, and I think it was on FR., maybe someone still has it.

Pic of Iraqi towns, buildings, mosques, etc. (detailed very small), with an American Soldier tiptoeing through and over them as each building was labeled "HOLY PLACE".

It was just so perfect to describe what our military had to go through over there. Can't do this, can't do that, cause they called everything a HOLY place, or HOLY day. And those dog muslims got away with it. All lies of course, but how were our military to know. That is exactly how Osama got away during what they called holy day Rhamadan (spelling?, and I don't give a crap if I mispelled thier holie day).

You will remember we had to stop fighting in respect for their HOLIE DAY.

The truth is NEVER in islam.
