Beware the green police. They don't carry guns and there's no police academy to train them, but if you don't recycle your trash properly, they can walk up your driveway and give you a $100 ticket.

It would appear that in some cities this may not be too far fetched.
Left out of this story is the fact that recycling is a religious act that has nothing to do with the “environment”. It consumes more energy than it saves and is nothing more nor less than a propitiation to the Environmental Gods. Just like “lowering the carbon footprint”. And expensive exercise in religious fantasy.
And will be viewed as such in some enlightened future.
My taxes don’t pay for my trash pickup here thank God. I choose to pay one of a half dozen companies in my area that do the job.
A couple of those companies offer recycling bins etc but I’m not willing to pay the extra $20 per month or whatever it is. I don’t have any issues with recycling itself.
I use my recycling bin because it saves on expensive trash bags. No other reason. I am not doing it to save the world. I’m doing it to save money. I figure I save two bags a week. LOL
That superbowl commercial is coming true!
If you want to know what our forefathers felt like under the yoke of religious intolerance, this is it.
The eco-fascism movement is akin to a religion, namely, paganism.
In monotheistic religions, only God is above man. To eco-fascists, the environment and nature is above man, just like with the pagans.
Best commercial ever!
“I was recycling this cinder block, and the darn thing slipped out of my fingers and smashed the chip.” Repeat as necessary.
This is from wikipedia:
Critics dispute the net economic and environmental benefits of recycling over its costs, and suggest that proponents of recycling often make matters worse and suffer from confirmation bias. Specifically, critics argue that the costs and energy used in collection and transportation detract from (and outweigh) the costs and energy saved in the production process; also that the jobs produced by the recycling industry can be a poor trade for the jobs lost in logging, mining, and other industries associated with virgin production; and that materials such as paper pulp can only be recycled a few times before material degradation prevents further recycling.
Same here in my little town. I had "Waste Management" at almost $80 per quarter, then I started noticing they were running "green" ads on tv. I switched to "X-Waste inc" for $48 per quarter.
Competition is great!
“Im doing it to save money.”
Me too! I recycle aluminum (well, actually, my kids collect and recycle it), and we burn most of our paper/cardboard products and use it as general fertilizer; what we don’t burn we shred and use for compost for our garden fertilizer.
The only thing left is plastics and metals and those go into our trash. I pay our trash people directly, so I hired a company that was cheap - it just so happens they separate and recycle at their processing plant - so they must love my trash - it is pretty much already recycled for them! LOL!
I cut down at LEAST two bags a week when I started pulling the paper products out of my trash!
“The eco-fascism movement is akin to a religion, namely, paganism.”
I prefer to call it a fascist cult but labelling it paganism works, too. I’ve had a number of “debates” with these slugs, and there is not a more stupid and cowardly bunch of clods walking the Earth than eco-fascists.
LOL - good for you. I recycle food cardboard boxes like pasta boxes, etc., aluminum cans, milk jugs, and 2 liter soda bottles. I was surpised how much of a difference it made with trash bags.
There is one company here that just sells the trash bags and a phone call the night before brings them around to pick it up the next day. One of my part time neighbors uses the company and it only cost him about $35 per year.
OMG, if I were this guy, I’d hide. He looks like such a pansy.
what is that, a casting call photo from Reno 911?
What is this world coming to?
