And my comment was families with small children should NEVER NEVER NEVER adopt such an animal and that if you have children, buy a puppy and raise it with the child and your risks are far less.

That is very good advice, would save a lot of people a lot of heartache (some of it severe) if they would follow that simple, common sense guideline.

Oh, I'm turning the other cheek alright ... she doesn't know that I've actually been skipping her posts since her big "FU" to a worthy FReeper yesterday (or was it the day before? Her post was mercifully deleted, in any case); the only reason this most recent one caught my eye was because of the vampire pic; silly me went and looked at it out of curiosity.

If it was a one-time weakness on her part, that's one thing anyone should certainly overlook and let go, but she's been demonstrating for several days now, even when I'm not looking or paying particular attention, that she's a rank hypocrite and as ugly as they come. NO ONE should overlook that unless they like to put their hands on hot stoves to get burnt repeatedly.

All it means to me is that when I see Allegra's name attached to the post, I'll just refrain from reading it in order to keep from wasting time on the words of a bitter, small, it's-all-about-me woman child.

I have read your posts. Here and previously. And your demeanor is above reproach. And you are right. An excuse, does not excuse. But then, our character is the only light that may be seen clearly. Thank you Rachael. It is up to us to lead by example. That is exactly why when such foul language was hurled my way I did not respond in kind. I have no idea what is happening in Allegra's life but she must be battling some serious demons to use such language against a fellow FReeper for having done so little.

Moreover, despite her recent attempt to reignite this debate I'll be ignoring her. She needs time to ponder what she's done, where she's been and how she's damaged her integrity and her credibility.

That would be criminal (but I guess not that unexpected in our present). I watched it carefully a few times, I saw absolutely nothing wrong in what he did (perhaps some sort of misdemeanor in NannyYC for burning paper) and apparently the Community Police didn't either. If anyone hears of any reprisals against that citizen I hope that it gets posted here so that we can remain aware of the creeping extent of the clamp down.
