But don’t worry, we will befriend all those moderate and peaceful Muslims we hear about. And if the USA just behaves itself and tries not to be too racist or violent, they will naturally love us!!! (/sarc)

Hey, I’ve got an idea to appease them.

Let’s let them have nuclear energy.

Yeah, that’s the ticket.

This piece of brilliant “logic” brought to you by journalists, political scientists, and failed lawyers - who know more than you do.

Is there really such a thing as non-radical Islam? Where?

and today the obamination said:

“As Americans we are not — and never will be — at war with Islam,”

first, IMO he isn’t even an American in it’s real sense..he hates America, and second, he is a muslim...so how can he want to be at war with islam?

Perhaps there isn’t, but there certainly exist “non-radical,” secularized Muslims who know their bread is buttered on the West side.

What if “Islam” picks a fight with what supposedly is your home land, Mr. Bummer? What then?

The thing such as non-radical islam is a product of leftist politics. The problem with leftist politics is that in Britain as well as the United States, liberal politicians let Muslims get away with doing such things as pray in the streets, things that they wouldn’t let people of other faiths do. Liberal politics sets Islam as a class above other religions. Why they do this makes no sense to me. Treat them like every other religion under Western Civilization, put them to the test of whether or not they will live under the Western Way, and practice whatever part of their religion is in compliance with the law. This is the same as about everyone else, and if they don’t want to respect the law, that’s too bad. I know this doesn’t sound good enough as a solution, but it’s the best civilized action I could think of at this instant.

Tony Blair is about as liberal as you can get. If he was an American politician, he would be at least as far left as Obama, perhaps further.

And yet, just for acknowledging what is, as a practical matter, beyond dispute, he is HATED by the leftists.

How can he be at war with islam? Like it or not, we are in a war to tame Islam, Islam must know that you MUST RESPECT the sovereignty of other nations. The fight is all about that exactly.

The problem with Obama is not an issue of a closet Muslims so much as it is a problem with liberals since Vietnam. According to the good old Sun Tzu, you make your enemies clear, and you make it clear that you fight to win, and you likely will. Protracted wars are almost always a loss for the aggressor, because the aggressor forgets or loses the clear objective that they are seeking to accomplish with the war.

How does Obama equate into this? He speaks to sugarcoat our war, which makes the objective and conditions for victory vastly unclear. It is problematic, and does not give us a clear goal. Blair is right in one sense: Radical Islam doesn’t depend on any single reason to hate everyone else, they must be defeated, ideologically and militarily.

We fight an ideological war right now, it’s ideological because politicians must quit making Islam a religious/political overclass. Almost every ex-muslim tells you that giving special priviliges to Muslims encourages more radicalism, because the radicals have pretty much shown that they could gain ground from violence, and it’s perfectly possible to gain more. Islam is working to ideologically overthrow the religious and the secular ideologies in America, mostly in the heavily radical portions.

Tony Blair is one leftist politician who gets the fact that “radical islam” will work to overthrow everything leftist politics seeks to promote and advance. Sharia condones stoning homosexuals in public, condones taxing the non-Muslims, and is entirely against dissent. Most of liberalism’s social/economic ideologies are irreconciliable heresy in the Islamic World, I am surprised that more liberals fail to admit that, much less why numerous people aren’t giving an outcry against Obama and Co. for their statements, and gestures toward Islam.

Exactly. While Islamists mutilate the genitalia of 10-year girls, and beat them for reading, and stone women for speaking to men who aren't their husbands, national and global "women's rights groups" remain silent about Islam, yet take every opportunity they can to criticize lack of funding or access to abortion. Lack of abortions? As if that's the greatest threat to women today. It's ridiculous.
