The largest city of the brokest state in America just opened the doors on the $578-million RFK School. Built on the site of the historic Ambassador Hotel, the K-12 facility is now the most expensive public school in the country.
They gave the school a state-of-the-art swimming pool, underground parking, historically recreated sections of the hotel, "talking benches" that describe the site's significance, a teacher's lounge modeled after the famous Coconut Grove Night Club

They probably defend the extravagance by saying that it was mostly federal funds anyway, not state funds. And those funds were probably earmarked for this pork-barrel project.

I wonder if the benches make editorial comments to those that break wind while sitting on them.....
This is as bad as the federal courthouse in Chicago where judges demanded and got gold plated faucets, Italian marble, imported paneling, and a boat doc to Lake Michigan. Cost was well over $1 BILLION taxpayer dollars.

This is ass-hattery at its finest. These feckless moonbat LIBs need to be showed the door OUT! Disgusting! Probably 1/2 the students in LA can’t do anything at grade level except excel at either self-tattooing or burglary. Sheesh!
Doesn’t look like my faculty lounge....but then I’m merely a college professor.
