A lawsuit filed by Union City charges that the landlord of two apartment buildings has repeatedly failed to address complaints by tenants and orders by the city on issues ranging from moldy bathrooms to fire hazards.
Landlord-tenant disputes are nothing new, even those with municipalities entering the fray. Except in this case, city officials say the landlord is Feisal Abdul Rauf, the imam behind the controversial proposal to develop an Islamic cultural center and mosque near Ground Zero.
The suit, filed today in state Superior Court in Jersey City, identifies Rauf as the sole officer of Sage Development LLC, a company based at his home address in North Bergen and listed as the owner of the two buildings. The suit also alleges that Sage’s corporate status was revoked by the state in March 2005, for its failure to file annual reports.

...but isn’t there some story floating about that this Imam says the attack on 9/11 was NOT the work of Al Queda? He is, in fact, a “truther”....asserting that Dubya and Cheney arranged the attacks?

If the media hadn’t already elevated Rauf on a carbonated geyser of free publicity, and if he were not enriched by that and his ill-gotten GZM gains, he’d be heading into the sausage grinder of NJ landlord-tenant court.
As it is, he no longer needs apartment houses in North Jersey and will consider himself well rid of them. He is now paraded about like a king of fools at festival, and our tax dollars help keep him rolling along.

Faiz Khan -- who has preached at least twice at the former Burlington Coat Factory building, the site of the proposed mosque -- was for years Rauf's partner in the American Society for the Advancement of Muslims, which is dedicated to promoting a better understanding of Islam.
Khan also serves on the advisory board of Muslims for 9/11 Truth and is a founder of the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance for 9/11 Truth, known as MUJCA.
Maybe he and tax-cheat Charlie attended the same slumlord class.
The State Dept employees who vetted this guy so that he could represent the U.S. overseas should be fired for incompetency or at least demoted.
Last week, The Record reported that Rauf received more than $2 million in public money to renovate low-income apartments he owns in Hudson County, including those mentioned in today’s lawsuit, after winning support for the projects from officials, including the disgraced former County Executive Robert C. Janiszewski, and U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez, who was mayor of Union City at the time.

Repeated calls to Rauf’s home telephone were met with a busy signal. No number was listed for Sage Development....Late tonight, no one answered the doorbell at Rauf's North Bergen residence.
And suddenly the man has nothing to say.
They're not incompetent. They knew exactly what they were getting. Which is why they ought to be fired, not demoted.

Didn’t Bush send this guy around the middle east for similar reasons (to garner support for and preach so called “tolerant Islam”)? I could swear I heard that he did so just yesterday on Hannity.

He (Rauf) has also involved himself with the Muslim Brotherhood, the parent organization of Hamas that is dedicated to destroying Israel and bringing the world under Shariah Law.
Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, the founder of the American-Islamic Forum for Democracy, opposes Imam Rauf’s project partially because of his reluctance to confront the Muslim Brotherhood.
He points out that Rauf describes top Brotherhood theologian Sheikh Yousef al-Qaradawi as a “moderate” in his book despite his history of anti-Semitism, endorsement of suicide bombings and Hamas, support for the killing if U.S. soldiers in Muslim lands, and calls for Muslims to wage jihad against Israel until it’s destroyed.
“You now lecture Americans that WTC mosque protests are ‘politically motivated’ and ‘go against the American principle of church and state.’
Yet you ignore the wide global prevalence of far more dangerous theo-political groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and all of its violent and nonviolent offshoots,” Jasser writes.
The tenants are responsible for the condition of their building.
The owner is being victimized by unruly degenerate tenants.
Landlord is kindly allowing tenants to live there at reasonable rate and in return, lazy non muslim tenants tear up the place and bring in bugs.

If I recall Rauf said that the United States was partly to blame for 9-11. I am pretty sure there is a video of him saying that.
It is impossible to underestimate the importance of revelations like this: they will help to bring Rauf to a point where he will die a symbolic death of “a thousand cuts”, rather than one big dramatic turnaround which puts him out of our lives. As far as I know, my own Bergen Record was the first to break these slumlord stories just a week or so ago. They have been given short shrift in the MSM
(naturally) and , again, as far as I know, been TOTALLY ignored by the New York Times. It is TIME start treating Rauf exactly the way one side or the other treats their opponents in political primaries or General Elections: he should be subject to radio commercials just like someone running for office, and who dares to with a record as a slumlord like his.
“Make no mistake”, Rauf is RUNNING FOR OFFICE, and he should be treated as such. Between now and November, it’s time for anti-Rauf ads to take their place amongst all others on the airwaves.

The video was put together by Steve Golding a survivor of the 911 attack who has since who passed away due a lung disease he contracted from his being caught in the attack on the World Trade Center.
